Most of that list aren't essentials, how long does it take to make a Shepherds from scratch? 15 minutes if you grill the cheese topping?

I'd love to see you make a shepherds pie in 15 minutes and for less than 75p ;-)

Faggots rock!

The Jam Roly Poly is yummy:)

I live off frozen food:|

Those pizzas are lush - i bought some last week and was pleasantly surprised!

They are a tad smaller than the usual sized pizza but make up for it in taste!

Heat added.

To be honest I wouldn't eat a shepherds pie that cost 75p and don't understand why anyone would.
#9
aren't frozen convenience foods some kind of modern day opium for the masses?

idiot.

You are often better off (financially and health-wise) buying quality meat and cooking using that from scratch, rather than using poorer quality meat that is often packed with non-meat "fillers" to bulk it out. It's a bit like the 2p ASDA sausage. Yes it is impressive that they can use so much non-meat additive yet still convince people they are eating a meat product. But personally I would prefer to eat one decent meat sausage than a whole pack of pap.

Good deal if you like eating nothing but poor quality foods.

Bankrupt mum's go to Iceland.

ur kidding right? have spuds boiled n mashed in 10 mins if cut small enough, whilst thats happening fry the mince and make a bit of gravy 15 mins piece of $%££, people are so dammed lazy nowadays.
#17
I wouldnt say frying mince is a "proper" shepherds pie anyway, you have to put it in the oven to cook, well i would,if i was into cooking that is lol

I guess you could could just brown the top under a grill but i have an electric oven so that costs a fortune to put on!

Can i have this time warping shepherd's pie recipe please! Last I knew it took time to peel, chop, and boil potatoes before mashing them then putting them on top of minced lamb which has had to be browned with chopped onion , and then cooked long enough to be tender..... Even a fast cook couldn't produce a decent shepherd's pie in under an hour, and really the mince should be cooked longer for best result!

Just thought, are you getting confused with welsh rarebit? :p

The items posted are bargains, the issue is NOT home cooked food vs. convenience.

Nice educated response, I guess the credit crunch is biting in your household hence the personal abuse, personally I work for a living and can afford to spend money on food that's actually food rather than soya protein and cardboard.
