Anyone considering going to Isola 2000 at this time of year should check out the webcams that give pictures for today e.g. http://www.snoweye.com/?page=fr-alpesdusud&detail=isola2000&big=55

There's quite a bit of construction work going on. No snow as it is too low and too far south. The surrounding area is lovely. Ideal if you like to tour by car or motorcycle. The resort will be very quiet, especially at night and it is very remote. You'll probably see more marmots than people.

Recent reviews since refurbishment are good on trip advisor (Previous to that not so)

This is the transfer information provided on another site.
Nice International Airport is approximately 90 minutes drive (97kms) from Isola 2000. Easy jet fly from a number of UK airports to Nice. A regular and convenient bus operates between Nice Airport and the resort. Taxis are available 24 hours (tel: (0)4 9313 7878) to all destinations; stands are located outside the Arrivals levels of both terminals.

takes longer than an hour, more like 3, mountainous roads very scary when in winter and often huge boulders in the middle of the road when I went. Seriously it's not worth the cheap hotel as there is nothing there, let alone anything being open off season.
