Are people getting tired of these itunes posts if so, pls let me know & i'll limit them to once every month or 2 or even longer if needed?

Can't understand why this is sub 50 heat when both versions have not been at that price at the same time, so i thought this was a HOT deal, but I thought that with my other posts!

Can I pls get some feedback as to why these (itune deals) are so lukewarm or in some cases freezing? As if they're not needed I'll gladly stop posting them & get myself a life finally instead of sitting in front of the pc checking for the latest deals :D

If there are members out there that are 'tired' of those posts, stuff em! You post what YOU see as a deal mate. Personally I don't have an iPhone/Pod/Pad but the wife and son do.

I am more than willing to say something when I don't like a deal/product/service etc being posted here but my 'opinion' has NOTHING to do with whether a deal is good/bad. There is nothing wrong is saying you don't like a deal but just remember it's different strokes for different folks.

Thanks for that, I can understand that, but noticed with deals I've posted recently which take me just a few minutes to collate & put up on HUKD I get a reasonable amount of heat. More than I'd expect sometimes for the amount of time i've spent - even though the deals are good

In the iTunes cases I spend a considerable amount of time posting them & have recently noticed that my deals don't do as well as i'd expect compared to similar deals.

It may be members are tired of the constant iTunes sales (but they're not tired of the constant Amazon, HMV, Play.com etc... deals?) or they prefer one member over another. I honestly don't know the reasons that's why I wanted to know what the problems may be

If I need to curb the iTunes postings I will do so, and I'll concentrate on other non-iTunes postings but I just want some feedback.

I normally judge how well a deal is by the amount of heat it receives, all my recent posts have fell short of what i'd expect them to get given how good the product is. Also the page views I'm getting are still quite high so people must like the deal to view it? So why the sudden downturn??? Me-thinks I talk too much & should just get a life :D

Focus on quality not quantity. Too many posts including stuff not worth bothering about, focus on the really good deals as people may be getting bored of all these iPhone app posts listing every single thing reduced to 59p. This IMO is a good deal.

Good points that's why in the current batch of deals I got rid of the excess apps and concentrated on the good apps only

But it doesn't seem to have worked. This deal is currently at the 89 heat level the original posts for 1 of the games went to over 1700, the other went to 600 - just as single app sales

This deal is for all 4 versions, both apps for the iPhone and the iPad ...

Think I'll stick with non- iTunes deals in future

I always look forward to your iTunes posts, and I have saved a fair bit with your guidance. Keep up the good work imo :)

Heat added.

Oh, and Monkey Island games are fantastic for those thinking of purchasing. Im a little biased though, take me back to my childhood :)

Or look at it another way, MikeT is widely accepted and recognised here as the resident 'Dell Deals' guru, you could become the resident 'iTunes Deals' guru. Some of Mike's posts don't get amazing heat but the people who do vote and are interested ask and make relevant questions/remarks on his posts. If you're posting in the hope of 'heat' then that's the wrong reason (in my opinion). Post deals to inform people of what YOU see as a fair, good and/or amazing deal and most of the time people will thank you for taking the time and effort to do so. It's a form of 'social networking' really. Posting such deals on a regular basis will raise your profile (there is no 'Reputation' here any more much to the annoyance of a great deal of members!!!), and you'll widely become recognised as an active and reliable member of the site, a member people trust and listen to.

Keep up the good work mate. Thank you for your ongoing support of this site and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.

Yes found this online for you:

A new feature has come to iTunes: The ability to gift specific iPhone apps to other users.

On the drop-down box on each application’s page (next to the “Buy” button) there’s now an option that says “Gift This App.” From that point, you then just enter in details like name, e-mail address and the message that you want to include.

Apple has long let people gift music albums to friends, but being able to gift applications is pretty cool. There are times I really want to recommend an app to my fiance — and I know he’ll forget about it — but if I can gift it to him, we can bypass the amnesia. Hey, it’s a nice surprise AND a nice app.

It’s also a solid alternative to using iTunes Gift Cards if you just want to buy someone a certain application.

Please note, you can only give users in your country gifts — so keep that in mind, especially if you have more than one iTunes account.

Mr blasphemous - good points as always. And the bulk if not all of them I agree with miket is mr dell got a dell deal ages ago from 1 of his posts

My concern is that other lesser deals (say) are getting the heat whilst my posts aren't

It may be that members don't feel voting is needed or necessary for my posts whereas they are for others? I dont know. But the views is still going up quickly so people must be viewing but not voting

Rep for me is the heat on a deal and the comments members leave. So getting warmish heat but great comments is brilliant as it makes my day. If no heat and no comments as in the last few iTunes deals only it makes me wonder ...

The iTunes posts take a while to verify, check then post. The quickest I've ever done one to get it posted was the recent gameloft deal. As the deals take a while to post i like the heat or comments (yes I'm vain/shallow ...) etc ... I compare to other iTunes deals to see how well or not they're doing

Currently they're not doing as well as I'd have expected for how good the deal is in my view

Thankfully it doesn't for me as I'd hopefully already bought it in the last sale

With this one at least iPad users get 2 good games sametime iPhone users are getting it!

I agree fully. A lot of the time I scan over these posts and do not vote hot or cold purely because most of the apps are unknown are of questionable quality. I find even some of the big name companies apps a waste of time.

Regardless, I read these posts and vote hot when there is a good deal.

Do no worry about heat, most people I have found vote hot on very bad things purely because they do not understand the entirety of a deal. My last deal dropped to -50 before someone piped up and said "actually, try and get this any cheaper in the uk and you cannot, so deal is hot" (paraphrasing). The deal then increased to something positive. Regardless people do take note of cold and warm deals and do benefit from them. A cold deal to 99 people might just be hot to 1 person - and your time and effort will be appreciated by them.

This is a great deal since it is quality and I look forward to getting home and grabbing the ones I don't already have. Thanks.

I bought them the last time they were on sale and they are as good as the pc versions! Easy to use, I haven't found them to be a problem. In my view 59p (or less if you got the clinton, tesco clubcard, morrisons deals in the past) is money well spent on both of them!

Nar, I was referring to The Simon The Sorcerer ones I posted. The MI ones are excellent!

Belated heat added, if people don't like deals then they don't need to check them do they. I would vote for every good deal, but can't sit infront of the Mac all day, or can I ;)
