My local wilkinsons had a 25% off sticker on their old stock. Said they had no knowledge of the 20p a bottle. Even got them to scan the product. Still only 25% off. Was wondering if this offer is store specific?

Called back in this afternoon just to complain...guess what, the sun cream was being reduced to 10p for the bottles. Mind you it is Wilkies own brand. But hey, who is complaining.

Suncream does lose its effectiveness over time but I do not know how rapid the deterioration is. Hasn't stopped me buying old stock....
#15
they were 5p per bottle in our store:)

I seem to recall reading somewhere that suncream does lose its effectiveness by the following year and that you should buy new suncream each summer. Mind you, as there is no expiry date printed on the bottles, who's to say the shops aren't selling you the previous year's stock?!!

Check the use-by date as it is valid on sunscreen - if it is out of date by the next summer they you will not only not get the protection listed on the bottle, you may get none at all, in which case it will be as effective as mayonnaise - then again it will probably rain again in which case you will be in doors anyway!
