Think the title says it all..

Probably worth a punt at a fiver, I've not heard the best but cannot argue with the price.

Cannot argue with the fact that you cannot argue with this price.

Can't argue with the price, can argue with this though "Probably worth a punt at a fiver..."

DREADFUL controls, dull gameplay, farcical driving scenes, pain in the ass healing system, etc... can't believe the praise this game gets from one or two magazines (extreme minority).... although i will acknowledge that there is far worse (Turning Point and Shellshock 2 anyone??)

Suppose if your desperate to discover for yourself... a fiver is the most you should spend

It's really not as bad as the above review suggests - Check out the metacritic for the overall opinions of all :)

Rubbish game, I mean manual blinking ffs... :?

Bought it for a tenner about 6 months ago, played once then it was straight on Ebay.
#7
i quit the demo after 2mins.

manual blinking XD - i wonder why nobody has ever implemented this before....
oh wait.

that's all i have to say about this game.
#8
terrible game, save yourself a fiver and remember that anytime spent playing this is time you can't get back...
#9

Terrible game. I got it for about this price and still think it was a waste of money.

Got bored after abseiling down the wall five minutes into the game. Tedious.

£4.99 for a game that is playable and has 1000 easy gamerpoints!

Can't believe all you morons are moaning about it.

The IGN review seems to pinpoint the problems...
"Glitchy, buggy, frustrating, boring and repetitive. ...
You probably won't want to finish this game, let alone play it more than once. "
#13
i think everyone is getting distracted by the blinking, as far as i played the game it is barely used. the game is definately worth a fiver, does some really interesting things with controls and combination of items. and is actuallly not a bad play. it is definately worth a go at this price.

combat is **** though
#14
Seriously, it IS possibly the worst game ever. You won't want to play it for more than about an hour then you'll feel insulted even to have it in the house.
#15
Has its issues, but I really enjoyed this game, probably one of the most atmospheric and filmic games I've ever played. Great price. H+R

Yes, there is that element. If you are after points then people should get NHL games and King Kong.

This got some decent reviews but everyone I know dislikes it intensely, I'm doing my bit to warn people, so they can spend their money on a Bank Holiday pint.

I voted the deal up but I wouldn't recommend getting it.

I have played some dross in my time just because it was cheap, but this is truly the worst game ever, was a real chore just to play.
#19
the blinking is only on the first five minutes of the game and there after is only used when you get something in your eyes, for example acid spit to clear the eyes.
Controls do seem a bit mad to start with but are very good the healing system i was impressed by it i mean whats better looking at your own body at the cuts or having a health bar.
Actually once you get in to the game it is very good and not a straightforward run and shoot everything in site.

I'm usually happy to spend a fiver for any 360 game but not for Alone in the Dark :D

Hot if you fancy the game though

Funny reading all the comments. Some seem to like it and some hate it (with a passion).

£5 is a good price but I'll avoid.

This game is probably the most "Marmite" game on the Xbox 360... people love it or hate it... always one extreme or the other.... most hate it though, as can be seen in this thread!!!
#23
Absoulte *****.
#24
It's that bad, it's not even absolute **** but 'Absoulte *****!'

What's it like on the Wii?
#25
The hardest game to control I have ever played. Believe me I tried hard to get into it!, If the controls were okay the game would be so-so.
#26
i read somewhere they released a patch to address some of the control issues
#27
Good price, terrible, terrible game.

Indeed
I enjoyed it all except the combat
...
butif you think of the combat as a hindrence then it makes the enemies even more scary :P

You'd sit through a terrible game for 20-30 hours in pursuit of 1000 imaginary points, and we're the morons...
