I've been really impressed with my Alpina Vector road helmet which I've had for four years and been looking at something to wear this winter. This will be perfect on the commute (Q MTB helmet on road bike haters), wind, rain, snow, ice and chest infections to come !

Is there a difference between the Mythos 2 and the Mythos 2 L.E?
Seems to be £2 more for the L.E??

The Mythos L.E is a matt finish, as oppose to the Mythos which is gloss.

Thanks. I thought It can't be just that. Looks like a good helmet! Just deciding on the colour now but seems a genuine reduction. Cheers!!

can't argue with the price, but it looks in various ways (pads, retention band, adjustment system etc) extremely similar to the uvex xp-cc helmet I own. wouldn't surprise me if this was made for alpina by uvex. I don't wear my xp-cc anymore as it can be bloody uncomfortable.

quick Google shows that alpina is owned by uvex, so I'm probably right

Quick review as mine was delivered an hour ago. Total weight with peak 294g, whipped it off as I won't need it. It's a much higher quality lid than the £17 paid, removable padding, easy and positive wheel to cinch it up plus the band is both hinged at the back allowing you find the perfect position on the back of the head and has three further side adjustment positions. So it's cheap, good quality and has features found on more expensive helmets, that makes it a HUKD in my book.
