Are my eyes going funny, because I've read and re-read the link and still can't see where it says 10 lanterns per pack?

They have now updated it, so anyone ordering it and expecting a 10 pack has hopefully saved an image of the page so they can claim their refund of price paid plus postage when they get just one.
big-boy;4527537
It does:
Pack of 10 Flying Lanterns

Flying Lanterns (also known as Chinese Flying Lanterns) will surely add an exciting new element to any outdoor event or celebration. The mysterious glow these night beacons give off can be seen climbing the evening sky for approximately 20 minutes. Flight ceases once all of the fuel has been burnt and the flame subsides, then as the warm air in the lantern cools it will gently float back down to the ground for a safe landing. The Lanterns will fly to more than 1,000 meters high, providing a spectacular show or demonstration for all to see.

Flying Lanterns are 100% biodegradable and are made from flame resistant paper. Night Glow Flying Lanterns are safe, fun and spectacular for any outdoor event such as a family barbecue, bonfire night, valentines day, Christmas, new years eve, and so on. The lantern measures 36 x 36 x 90cm when fully inflated. Ten flying lanterns supplied per pack.

You'd have thought Health & Safety would have banned these :-D

Why?? Have you used one. If used correctly they are no more dangerous than fireworks!
bc.jacobs;4528130
There is quite a big difference. Most misprices are for a well defined product. Sometimes you get the product, but they spot the misprice and usually cancel the deal. This is different. They clearly sell packs of 1, 10 and 20. You order the 1 pack (even though it says 10) and you will get a 1 pack. Then you have to complain and probably have to return it if you want a refund. So quite different to a regular misprice in my opinion.
Will let you know when mine arrives

Received mine today - I usually hide all things I dont want DP to see under the cotbed-too big!!! Argh! I spent 2 hours putting it up cos I thought maybe without the legs attached it would go under - nope!
Then had to attach the legs & call nextdoor for help to move it into the garage! DP is now banned from the garage untils Fathers Day!

It's awsum! Kinda want to give it to him now so we can have a game! Hehe! It'll be a good thing to bring out when we have bbqs - have no room to keep it in the house!!
They used to also have 20% quidco cashback but i think they no longer deal with Quidco, which is a shame, as this would of been an amazing offer topped with free delivery for orders over £50
Ive already ordered it, it comes to £49.90 but then Ive just gone back on the site & if you spend over £50 delivery is free! Argh! Couldve picked things to bring the total over £50, got 10% off & then free delivery! O well!

Just tried it out & it still asks you to pick the delivery option & still states an amount but when you continue onto the next page it shows shipping as £nil.

But thats not for you to decide is it? I agree, not something I would buy myself but then again others will. Surely the idea of this forum is to list deals for others so they can decide themselves if they wish to buy the product. Of all the deals listed on HDUK, i'm sure very few of them you would be interested in anyway.

It is for me to decide whether I consider this a good deal or not...which is surely the purpose of this forum! I've not told anyone else that they have to agree with me, have I????

based on a friend's experience, be aware that if you make any modifications to your car (even something small like a new gearknob or aftermarket alloy wheels), you have to tell your insurance company or they can (and do) refuse to pay out in the event of a claim...

well to be honest buildfromscratch i have to disagree with you on the price and quality, I think that the snoozies are worth way more than 2.99 in fact if i saw them in a store i would pay up to 10-15 pounds for them each so getting the full set at 2.99 an item is a wonderful deal, the company cannot be blamed for your mistake, but i do agree they could have been a little more user friendly towards you. I spent 98.50 pounds with the company and cant fault them in any way.

Was not having a gripe about the snoozies priced at 2.99 each.

stonemobile

Ditto (almost) with the two orders.

Rgds.
realfriendlyman
It actually does say the size on the website, which is why i also listed that these are a little under 8 inches.

No offense but you're really sounding like you're a representitive of this company. People are allowed to have an opinion and post good or bad feedback on their experiences with said retailer.

realfriendlyman
I don't know if you actually told them that you wanted to cancel so you could get commission on the sale but i can understand if they weren't happy with that because losing 20% on a sale item is quite a big difference and isn't really meant for us, as it's just a promotion for companies to advertise them a bit more.
You should of just made something up, which would be acceptable for a re-order.

No, I disagree completely. I should not have had to lie (and did not do so) to justify an order cancellation request. I also disagree with what you're saying regarding Quidco. Quidco are an affiliate of Alt-Gifts therefore are advertising on behalf of this company. Very little difference in being an affiliate of Alt-Gifts through tradedoubler, cj.com or any other affiliate program that this company uses.

realfriendlyman
I don't think they had to penalise you, as you were going to reorder anyway and it's not like they already started the dispatch process but it's just extra hassle for them, so they're now charging you for there time because it wasn't there error.

I'm aware of this. I've said that the error was one that I'd made. I've paid good money for two orders that I really wish that I'd not placed with this company. End of story. Gripe over. Not willing to discuss any further.
Bought 3 of the bears for £2.99 each - brilliant - the key chain snores as well ;-0.
Just went to try and buy some more (brilliant little pressies) ad they are now £6.99 lol:viking:
cowboy and horse arrived and its magic fun cant wait for its boxing day unveiling
snoozies are great too i got 4 two reindeers and two teddies

great price for the items
buildfromscratch
Tried to cancel an order literally minutes after placing and realizing that could've qualified for 20% cash-back via Quidco. Really did not think that this was an unreasonable request as immediately placed another order. Immediately informed of ParcelForce non-delivery penalty and shocked to read about a 5% re-stocking fee. Fully accept that it's my own fault for not clicking though Quidco in the first instance however ringing up literally within minutes of placing the first order that was placed to explain the situation was met with a frosty reception. Followed by discurteous e-mails from same. Order did not leave warehouse until 3-1/2-hours after order was placed. O.K. I'd made a mistake on the first order by not clicking through Quidco however as someone else has said on this thread the snoozies are not worth a lot more than £2.99. Despite whether or not I'm a fan of eBay much better bargains have been sourced from traders on there with a much friendlier service also. I do not like making complaints, I'd rather not have to make a complaint at all but the items that Alt-Gifts claim were originally £4.99 that cost £0.99 are not worth the money at all. Should the pics on their web-site have been more detailed illustrating the size of these there's no way whatsoever that I'd have bought these for presents.
