i've got to agree with the reviews for this product, they are fantastic......got them set up on the wall for my TV, but for anyone who wants to get the best out of them its worth considering buying http://www.lindy.co.uk/shop/showProductDetail.do;jsessionid=3D0B76D09E4D49F381BEFA2BB67FDA66?orderNumber=33051 or/and http://www.lindy.co.uk/shop/showProductDetail.do;jsessionid=3D0B76D09E4D49F381BEFA2BB67FDA66?orderNumber=35473 as the cables supplied are limited and it can be difficult to get the right postioning...... thought I post as it took me ages to find the 8pin DIN cable, couldn't find anywhere buy Lindy.

I need some speakers for my ps3 system im building, i was planning to go with the Logitech Z2300 (£90) but im little unsure now.. price seems dirt cheap but only 35w rms.. im a little skeptical on the people who review it aswell since the reviews i've read were stuff like:
"yes its very good but when i put my phone next to it it gets feedback, this is why im only giving it a 4/5" (no duh?)

Obviously im not aiming this @ you 'thecardiffone'. :) Thanks for the links!

I don't know anything about these speakers but i've got the Logitechs and they're awesome. Can't say i've ever felt the need to use my hi-fi since getting them.

i've got logitechs too and they blow me away!

I've never turned mine all the way up but I could imagine that it's quite literally possible that they could.

I have a pair of Logitech X-230 Speakers which are a couple of models up from the one linked too. Must say that they are alright and they go very loud, but they are seriously lacking any midrange. I have Creative I-Trigue 3500's (£100) on my other system and they are only a little bit better. This is a common problem for these £20-£100 sub and satalite packages. The system posted claims to have a unique midrange solution and is heavily discounted. My experience of Altec Lansing Speakers has been good in the past so maybe someone should give them a go before righting them off.

Oh and by the way, if you have a decent Hi-Fi I can't believe anyone would be replacing it with a set like this.

What I did say is that I haven't felt the need to use my hi-fi since having the Logitechs. I didn't say that they were as good or superior. They do, however, offer a very satisfactory listening experience from a PC.

Perhaps you need to test the Logitech Z2300's and take a leaf out of your own book before writing them off in relation to a decent hi-fi which I do in fact have.

The reviews are pretty mixed for these but the one big minus for is that the mp3 cradle is just a bit of plastic to rest the mp3 player on.

My son's looking for both pc speakers and a docking station for his Ipod but I'd rather get an all in one if it was possible as he'd only be listening to one at a time. It also saves having two devices on standby.

Anyone know of anything like this?

If the mid range ain't there, you are not going to hear it. A mid range cone needs to be of a size that is too big and is therefore not evident on any sub & satellite package.

There isn`t an MP3 cradle, what you see in the picture is the remote control stand (not included if you buy from Scan)

Right enough, it was the speakers posted in the first reply I was looking at.

What if you don't need a sub, what would you reccomend in this price range?
I would like a sub, but the fact that it will make sounds around the house is annoying? Or can this be adjusted.

Thanks

Ahh too bad, looks like they've all sold out.

Just got mine delivered. They don't sound too great out of the box, but after simply turning the treble and bass up these sound great for £30!!!

Yes, it was a "today only deal" so it has expired, keep looking though if you are interested, they are often included in Scans specials.
