Shame the actual theme park isn't open - hot price though!

To be honest, if I diddnt live 4 hours away I would be snapping this up, great resort and good fun. Food is quite expensive so look out for that (considering you will be in the hotels for the duration) - The waterpark is amazing and great for the kids.

Looks great. I'm gonna have a look at this next time we fancy a break instead of centerparcs.

I only live an hour away and my boyfriend took me there for my birthday. Nothing special, didn't really like the food tho. It's a lot cheaper then my boyfriend paid 3 years ago.

We LOVE the splash landings hotel. My husband and our 4 young children went on this break in January and it was EXCELLENT. The price is great considering you get the waterpark entry. HOWEVER, be warned they have strict rules about adult to child ratio in the pool (not stated at time of booking) so our 3 year old twins were disappointed on the first day. But, the staff were fab and gave them complimentory teddies etc and arranged for a personal life guard to swim with us the next day.
The all you can eat buffet is approx £17 adults, £4.95 kids 4 and over and a couple of quid for infants.Dont forget 20%OFF with an annual pass (we get ours with Tesco vouchers).
There are family facility rooms within the hotel with microwave, fridge, washer and tumble dryer so its no effort to do something quick for the kids at lunch.ENJOY!

I was a bit disapointed with the waterpark to be honest. I didn't think it was much better than Wet N Wild in North Shields,Tyne and Wear. And thats saying something!

Cheers OP. Just booked. Great deal this. Looking for ways of keeping the spend now, after the 'expensive once your there' scare.
Any tips would be much appreciated.

So he spent all that money and thought and you still think it was "nothing special" I hope he has dumped your ungrateful @ss !

Seems like a good deal to me , heat added.

Didn't think much of "water park" 2 1/2 decent rides crammed into 1 room ( below hotel) with an outside bit (warm bubbly pool and a ride with a 3 small slides into still water), Waterworld at Stoke is comparible (if not better) but a fair bit cheaper. OK for younger children but me & my 3 (8 9 &11) were left a bit dissapointed. Didnt stay at Hotel so can't really vote hot or cold.

Good for a couple of hours swim, other than that I wouldnt stay overnight. Tickets are £11 each if go as a family. Buffet £17... how could they charge that amount?!?!!!

Hiya, its an all you can eat buffet with 3 courses. You can get carvery, indian, chinese etc etc and the kids choice is good too. £17 is quite expensive but we always feel we have had a good meal.We also use our annual passes for a 20% discount.
The hotel is really fab, something quite themed, however some of the rooms are looking a wee bit tired. The water park is really good but 2 hours is enough really.
We always find the resort very exciting and special, even comparable to Disney, so i would recommend :-)

Hiya, we take stuff for the kids to eat at lunch times and heat it in the family facility rooms (on each floor in the hotel) there's a fridge and microwave in there.

So, did anyone go? Care to share your experience please?! Would love to know if you thought it was value for money.

This is not expired as it has been extended to this weekend also!! I have booked for Fri-Sun (12-14). Exactly the same offer!! Mods Please unexpire.

You can choose from either Splash Landings or Alton Towers hotel - AT Hotel is supposedly a little better, with bigger rooms and tidier finish. Splash Landings is a little more tired as I guess its where the younger kids hang out!

Also, dont forget Quidco - 6%! That's another tenner off!

depends what way you call this

we along with a large number of others off HUKD went 2 years ago for £99 on lastminute.com

so this year we paid £169, however for a family of 4

2 nights B&B (all you can eat brekky)
2 days use of waterpark
+ evenings entertaimnet

i'd say it was well worth it, although the trip 2 years ago was a much better bargin

oh and a good time was had by all :thumbsup::thumbsup:
