Just been looking on lastminute for Alton Towers and no good for me as little one is at school but its an amazing price and thought might be good for someone. The breakfast there to is worth the £35 for a family of 4. The water park is open and is included in the price acording to lastminute.com. Book through Alton Towers for water park not last minute. So for £35 fo 2 adults and 2 children you could stay and do the swimming with hearty breakfast too!!. The dates are from now until 15th March excluding Fridays and Saturdays but Sunday night stays seem to be included. Hope this is of use to some.

Okay " do the swimming after letting the hearty breakfast settle". I do wonder why I bother posting with comments like that???

Have booked in for Monday 10th for my son and I. can't wait it will be a lovely treat.
#8
Glad you have made use Annasteven. Just had another look and it says stays include entrance to waterpark and breakfast so you might not need to book and pay for waterpark. Which would be a bonus!!!

booked going for 2 nights 4 70

just returned after weekend at alton towers and kids loved it ,the theme park opens on the 15th march if that is any help to anyone
#12
Brillant place lovely hotel, kids loved the waterpark and the breakfast was very good. Meals in restaurant expensive so do what we did and pack your own!!
#13
I just booked thursday night as we are booked in for the weekend (friday to sunday for £108 deal) and I'd rather drive up thursday evening than friday morning, So I'm really pleaed with this. As has been said most of the £35 is breakfast with my boys :giggle:

only thing I noticed is lastminute says"Stays include Bed, Breakfast and entry into the fabulous waterpark." so what do you mean about the extra £10?

REP AND HEAT :)

The idea that it is dangerous to swim after eating is a nonsense.

Seems like good value. HEAT added.

- Can anyone speak from personal experience re the breakfast?

- I see it says two different hotels? Any background anyone?

- Also, given that the theme park is closed, other than the waterpark, what other attractions are available?

Many thanks.

One quick question is the Alton Towers Hotel you have all booked in?
#17
What a great deal. Just booked up for next Monday night. I've been wanting to try their water park for ages. Perfect!
#18
Booked two, just for a night away its worth it

Question for anyone thats been

Booked for the Thursday night does that mean I should go to waterpark Friday???

Had no email yet so it might explain it all..
#19
The waterpark is in the hotel, both the hotels are connected to each other. I think from when I went which was a few years ago the pool is like at any hotel, while you stay you can go in, so if your booked in 2pm thursday to 12pm friday, you can use the pool during these times as long as it's open.
#20
when I stayed last time we were in the alton towers hotel, which I thought was the better of the two (just my opinion) but they are connected so doesn't really matter, you can wonder around both. I know for the main weekend we booked we will be staying in the Alton towers hotel, I'm hoping we can stay in the same room for all 3 nights if possible, i requested lastminute to request this.
#21
can someone post a direct link to thsis deal? i can't seem to find this.

Just got back from the £108 weekend deal they were doing recently.

There is a free buffet breakfast - bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, crumpets, toast, melon, prunes, peaches, grapefruit, pineapple, apples, bananas, variety of cereals, milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, apple juice.

The water park is fantastic - we went Friday, Saturday and Sunday for every hour it was open.
#23
was there at the weekend.

The splash hotel is basic...dont expect good service are a fancy room, its all basic, but saying that for £35 for 4 breakfast and entry to the waterpark it is a bargin.

Food for evening meals is expensive and no local other options, be prepared and take a picnic,

The water park is great for kids, both the children type and adult type...thinking about going again.
#24
food is expensive as mentioned before and is repetitive but there is a village pub about 5 minutes drive away called the old star inn and it does brilliant homecooked food, you could travel in a taxi and have a drink as well

Booked and voted HOT HOT HOT
The trunks and swimming cossie are packed and I’m ready to go.
This is a bargain for a family of 4 includes B/fast, when I’m in the pool you’ll spot me I’m the one wearing the carnation.

Perhaps HUKD aught to offer badges that everyone could wear on occasions like this.

Good advertising (FREE) and help peeps find one another.

Perhaps everyone could sit at the same table and PERHAPS Alton Towers might be interested in offering reduced evening meals?

Why dont all that are going E/M Alton Towers?

Nothing Ventured Etc.....

Just came back from there last week, we had the £99 family room deal all in -theme park & water park. Not much to do if theme park not open, its ok there, but there is some renovations going on & can be abit noisy. Got to book the alton towers hotel or queue v.early for the splash landings restaurant otherwise you will go without dinner!!. The restaurant staff are all very busy trying to cope, so you could be in for a wait...., but i did love the water park :)

has anyone booked with lastminute.com before....would hate to think we are all going to get booking cancellation emails in the morning:whistling:

I booked the Caribbean Weekend in Feb via Lastminute - no problems.

When you "dig deep" this price ain't that cheap, nothing available near the weekends, only during the week Sunday - Thursday and that's for the next two weeks, the third week 24th onwards is all £134 a night.

Unless you miss school - and I don't think they are banking on that either hence the very very low price.

Unfortunately this is a very deeply ingrained old wives tale which is false. There is absolutely no evidence that swimming after a meal is in any way, shape or form dangerous. http://www.snopes.com/oldwives/hourwait.asp

Can any of you guys that have been to the caribbean weekends help me?

I have booked for this weekend via Latsminute.com, however I have phoned Alton towers to see which hotel I need to book into and a really unhelpful guy told me that I would need to call Lastminute to find out this information. I have called them and they said they will get back to me tomorrow.

Did any of you have any problems? Did you just turn up with the email voucher or did you receive confirmation from Alton Towers as well?
#38
Thanks I will call them again, hopefully will get someone more helpful this time
