Great jacket, wore mine and the trousers last winter. only had a t shirt on underneath as so warm. despite this there are some blind muppet drivers on the road. had near miss abd took evasive action when a driver pulled out of a junction. oh I didn't see you was hus moronic response

you mean you didn't see a bright red bike with 4 x 400 lumen flashing torch bike lights on front and rear with a rider in illuminous gear. Please go to specsavers, then take you driving test again or give up driving for good

Bought a green one. Great price. Cheers

Okay, newcomer to cycling clothes question....sry!

Outside of the obvious benefit of increased visibility.... Big benefit (unless you a being hunted down by hillbillies that want to sodomise you)....is this better than the shell of a goretex hiking coat?

Reason I ask is, I was in Halfords trying on a regular altura and it seemed a very similar material.

I mostly cycle on the road to a couple of decent xc paths and then back (er obv:))

I know I am asking some rather generic questions, but, any help would be great.

It's better than a hiking coat because it has better ventilation and is shaped specifically for cycling meaning it will be more comfortable. Daft things like pocket location also matter.

It probably won't keep you any warmer or dryer but it will be a lot more comfortable.

Same happens to me all the time.
Some drivers shouldn't be allowed on the road.Either blind as bats or too busy chatting on the phone. Idiots.

Highly water and wind proof. I've been in heavy rain with it and not even a drop of water went through. Best jacket! Hot price

Tbh was disappointed with mine in respect of how quickly it deteriorated - first on mine the pocket zip seam opened up, then the reflective strips started coming off and then the wrist strap on one side split and fell off - paid a lot more than this for mine so not voting either way

Just arrived, the yellow colour is not the most stylish or expensive looking jacket e.g. no shoulder seam, but maybe it does the job.

Mine has just arrived in red, great light weight jacket. These are definitely not particularly fitted as sometimes I need a large for certain things but glad I didn't order a large for this.
