If you haven't had this before its lovely, makes a nice change to Baileys

The spirit of Africa - Amarula originates from the southern plains of Africa where the marula fruit grows.

The fruit itself has a light yellow skin, with deliciously juicy vitamin C packed flesh around a kernel rich in natural oils.

The marula fruit attracts many animals - especially elephants - and is sometimes referred to as the "elephant tree" as elephants travel miles to gorge themselves on this delicious fruit.

The marula tree plays a unique role in local tribal legend as the fruit is believed to have aphrodisiac properties and so features in local fertility rites. The marula tree is also known as "The Marriage Tree" and to this day tribal weddings take place beneath its branches.

Amarula is a cream liqueur made from a blend of the unique marula fruit and stabilised cream.

Unlike any other cream liqueur, Amarula is not made from a whisky or brandy base. The marula fruit is distilled to produce a fruit spirit base.

Because of its genuine African heritage, Amarula is more exotic than other cream liqueur brands.

Deliciously smooth - every sip is pure pleasure

I will be stocking up on that.I bought my first bottle 14 years ago in Africa at a cost of about £4 so £7 is pretty good value after 14 years.I lived in SA for 2 years & they drink it like a shot & even add Absinthe to it.Talk about ruin it.Voted Hot Hot Hot.

I first bought this in Costco many years ago and enjoyed it. I have bought it when I have seen it since then. For £7 its an excellent deal.

If you are ever at a Scots party at Christmas or New Year and there are military at it or running it they will have Atholl Brose. Its a homemade drink with wiskey oats and honey you need to try it. Its better than any of the cream liquers on the market.

Normally sells for £12.99 in UK supermarkets or thereabouts, so pretty good value.

Got a bottle as a present a few years ago and have been addicted ever since.....so much smoother than Bailey's.
