15.6 inch Full HD 1080p gaming laptop with 16GB RAM (insane!) , 1TB Harddrive, Intel Core i7 4810MQ (2.8GHZ), Nvidia GTX 860M graphics card. It also has an awesome backlit keyboard. These are outstanding specs for the price!

Specs are great (aside from lack of ssd) but it weighs 4 kg! Thats quite a lot for a laptop...

I tried pcspecialist.co.uk to see what i can get for the same price:
Chassis: 15.6 Full HD LED
CPU: i7 4810MQ (2.8GHZ)
RAM: 16GB Kingston 1600 MHz
Nvidia GTX 850M
Storage: HDD 500GB
OS: Windows 8.1 (or 7)

Total: £905

So yes the Amazon is a deal but not a huge one.
You should go on Flubit before spending your money on it. You might knock £20~30 off.

There's almost no game that benefits from 16GB ram and an i7. At 4kg this thing isn't too portable and a desktop for 2/3rds the price would blow this away

Not voting either way, but if you mostly game at home dont do this to yourself

There is for the i7, as the i5 laptop version is a dual core. So you will see the difference.

I do agree with the 16gb of ram thing, the only game that could possibly use such an amount is Minecraft provided you created some crazy huge world or if you plan on doing some serious video editing or heavy CAD, etc programs.

I agree, better monitor, gaming experience on a desktop, which wouldn't overheat like a laptop.

What idiot plays games on a laptop?

Cold for obvious reasons.
there are plenty but I m not one of them.

This is an excellent spec for a portable workstation for photo, video editing or rendering. Gaming not so much as the 8 series card is very weak compared to the ready of the spec. If you want to run games at the native resolution of the laptop, you are going to have to turn any demanding games down to medium or low settings to get a smooth framerate. Not exactly a future proof system.

You can build an ITX tower that will have a similar if not smaller footprint than a laptop...
