Only problem with them, they have sold most of their better hotels to Travelodge and just kept the restuarants

it would cost 20 quid to pitch a tent somewhere and anything has got to be better than that..why the negativity??

The breakfast is a bag with a small muffin, a drink, a crossant and some cereal with milk.
Not as good as it used to be when it were real Innkeepers Lodge, when all this were fields and you still got change from a shilling.

But £20 is very hard to beat just for a room, so hot from me.

Because they were a bargain and good value, but the two I always used were sold along with lots of others and are now Travelodges

Just booked three nights over a weekend in March for three of us in Huddersfield for £60 - where the normal rate is £54 per night and the accommodatiion is quite pleasant. Innkeeper's Lodge is a budget chain but it has always been pretty adequate for our needs travelling with a child: clean, comfy, abundant breakfast (though no meat), very welcoming staff who are more than happy to bear our child around... What else can one need?

Addition:
Booked another stay at Godalming for 2nd-4th January: this is one of the "posh" lodges that usually does not give you any offers or discount on the price. Normal price there is a whopping £99 (£76 for weeekend stays) - £20 a night for three of us with breakfast cannot be bad.
