I wouldn't mind a new Hard Drive - pity I live in N. Ireland which would probably add at least £15 to each of these deals in P&P though. :(

Its worth checking with them, I seem to remember there used to be a banner on their site saying they now did a lower cost delivery to NI - not there anymore though. Why not just go through the process and see what charges it comes up with, will only take a few minutes.

Nice price m8, just need to find a decent motherboard/cpu bundle and I'm sorted :)

I would take the Samsung over the Hitachi they tend to perform better. Unless you just want a second drive just for storing media then performance is not such an issue.
#18
It's unfortunate that prices are higher now than they were in Nov/Dec when I built my PC. The Samsung 640GB was £41 from Scan - great HDD so far.

Also, these Hitachi ones have been appearing on "Today Only" at this price a few times a week over the last month (including the whole of the last 3 weekends) so I wouldn't worry if you miss this one - I'm sure it will be available again.
#19
I went all the way to payment options and it doesn't show up for that price. It comes up as £55.92 delivered.

Expired methinks.
#20
Ah working now. It wouldn't marry my avforum account at first but now working as intended. Thank you OP.

Cheers, good deal.

I'm probably going to use this as my system drive.

Whats the easiest (free) way to copy my system onto the new drive from my old one ?

It's only free in uTorrent + ThePirateBay free, but Norton Ghost provides a rpetty useful solution.

Any IDE Deals out there? Looking for a new higher capacity disk for my Sky+ box.

I might be able to help you out there !! Just upgraded from Sky+ to Sky HD & so have a redundant 120GB HD sitting in my old Sky + box.

Its been in the box for just over a year & works perfectly.

I also have a 250gb drive I bought with the intention of upgrading the 120gb one if it filled but never had to use it. I've never installed the 250gb one so cant guarantee its compatability 100%.

Let me know if this is of interest & I'll post the model numbers so you can check them out.

What power connection does it need?
I have a dell dimension 8400. Will i need a power adapter?
