Shame it hasn't got quick access but still a good prive.
#6
Yeah, good deal, A Lowepro can be had for a little more, £30 if ya shooop aroond for a comparable model.
#7
Looks pretty good, thanks,

Scary how quick you fill your old one and need something with a bigger lens capacity.

you mean those equivalents that use chicken tex, ripstop linings and ballistic nylons? this will not be the quality of those 'highly overpriced' bags..

that aside it looks decent for the money if you didnt manage to get one of the unbadged Sling200's and probably an okay bag in the summer months but id be weary in any other weather, remember if you fill this bag up with even the most budget of camera equipment you are looking at £600+ worth of kit... is it worth the risk?
#9
looks like a steal!
#10
Good price..would have gone for it but bought a Lowepro Primus a few weeks back.
#11
do you think it will be here for xmas if i order today

I got mine 2 days ago

When was it (knife sharpener) dispatched? I'm still waiting and mine was dispatched on 12th Dec with an indicated delivery date of 14th Dec. Everytime I track the package it still says "in transit" and the full history only shows the arrival into Royal Mail on 12th Dec!

Not bad, but 7 day shop has been doing a good similarly sized rucksack (currently £17) for years. I've had mine 4 years and still going strong.

Great bit of kit for the money..........I have the Lowepro A200 slingshot, but is was double that cost
#17
Anyone know how it handles the rain or if it comes with a waterproof 'jacket'?
#18
Looks a good deal - as another alternative, I got one of these from 7 day shop to house my pentax kx twin lens kit. looks similar, although can't compare quality.

I just picked up mine this morning! (ordered on Thursday)
It is a very good quality bag, It does stand up to the reviews on Amazon.

I can fit in a D300s and Nikkor70-200 2.8 attached and there is still loads of space for more lens, flash. etc. I would have no concerns carrying my gear inside this backpack.

The lid has a large zipped external compartment which is very spacious, enough room for your spare cards, batteries, mars bars or whatever.

I can't say how it performs in the rain, I would say it is the same as any other zipped bag, it does not come with a waterproof cover.

It is a very well constructed bag, well up to the standards of my Lowepro Fastpack.
but I don't think I would trust the straps on the side to carry a 'sturdy' tripod

I think Amazon using "Basics" as a description does it a disservice, this is not a cheap quality bag.

Just order it, if you don't like it sent it back!

Do you know if that bag will take a Nikon D5000 with Battery Grip attached?

Thank you in advance of your reply.

it says 'many other models'...do you know if it will fit a Canon 5D .... ?

The insides of these types of rucksacks have movable dividers so basically you place them wherever you want to suit your equipment.
With regards the Hama Rucksack form 7 Day Shop (which I personally think is another good bargain) it's hard to find images from the inside but I think the ones below are correct.
The dimensions are as listed on the link so you should be able to work out whether it would suit your needs.

That's the smaller one hottosnop. I can't find any of the larger one.

Sorry, I didn't actually know there were 2 sizes !

The inside dimensions of the 7Day one are as following............

- Inside Dimension Depth: 15 cm
- Inside Dimension Width: 30 cm
- Inside Dimension Height: 33 cm

Using a rough calculation I would say that the main compartment would easily take any of the Bridge or DSLR Bodies along with a couple of lenses, flashgun and possibly even a battery grip ??

I don't think it will take a DSLR with a battery grip attached ?

What do you think Blasphemous ?

I think you're getting the two bags confused mate. There are two:

This one:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_1&products_id=109465

And this one:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_1&products_id=110011

I think the images you've shown above are from the smaller of the two bags.

I've PM'd spock1958 as he has the larger bag and I too want to know if the larger bag will take my DSLR with the grip attached. Hopefully he can shed some light on that. I have provided him with the dimensions of my camera with grip attached.
