Some good deals, but watch out for import duty. Amazon.com will likely list the full price on the packaging, taking it above the £18 threshold. Last offer, I got the first 2 Pirates of the Carribean movies for $24.99, but they listed it as $49.98 and I got stung for £12 import duty and handling fee

yeah its better not buying it from amazon us

even tho the deals are good import tax isnt

so its more like 2 for £24 ( £12 bogof and £12 tax)

You can claim this back from Customs and Royal Mail with proof of correct price paid. Long process but you can get your money back. You contact Customs first and once you have received your letter from them confirming a refund, you use that to contact Royal Mail to get the other part back.

You can also email Amazon and they have been crediting peoples accounts for the amount you have paid in duty to Customs and Royal Mail.

So yes these are great deals but it all depends if you can be bothered chasing round the relevant companies to get your charges paid back.

i believe the problem is that amazon do not put the price you've paid on the customs declaration, but the full value of the goods, so in your case

$34.99 for 300
$29.98 for terminator

total $65 = £32.50 which is greater than £18, hence there is a chance you'll be charged.

I could of course be wrong.

I was just thinking the same thing, and already cancelled the order.

Amazon will put the FULL value of the order on the shipping label. It WILL be over the customs limit on just about ALL orders.

Some may get charged and some may not... luck of the draw. But YOU can get your money back and that is fact.

As you say, you can get your money back so it should be fine, these are really cheap.

I will probably order Blood Diamond, Departed, 300 and another film. I would get Terminator, but from what I heard the pic quality isnt there.

There are more region free ones on the website then the ones I listed, so everyone should check before they order.

ordered 2 times laready from there on buy one get one free, maybe if people ticked the box which states

If you decide not to wrap your gifts, you can still hide the prices on packing slips for items from Amazon.com. Just leave this box checked. Note that not all merchants are able to suppress prices in this way, so items not from Amazon.com might ship with price information printed even if you leave this box checked.

then you wont get hit , they marked mine at the total price i ordered ( discounted) and had it sent with no problems.

That doesn't help, they still need to fill in the customs declaration anyway, and customs ignore the giftwrapping if its sent from a business.
