Someone who knows how to install thermostats.

Self install, pretty simple to replace an existing wired room thermostat (typically mains voltage so turn boiler off!), just 2 wires to connect.

Had Netatmo for 2 years, very happy with it.

I got this bundle on pre order from just after the echo was released. is a great price for the two items and works great via voice control.

Alexa set thermostat to 21 degrees. Job done.

Alexa (the dot) however can't tell you the current temperature which is a shame as the temperature is viewable in the netatmo app so don't see why this hasn't been implemented.

The thermostat itself has a learning algorithm that over a couple of weeks follows how you use the thermostat on top of its general timed schedule. The purpose is to help increase your fuel economy to help save you money. This type of algorithm isn't found in the other smart thermostats (as far as I can remember, I could well be wrong!).

Another great feature of this is 2 different installation options. If you want the thermostat mobile (so you can take to any room) then you need to wire the relay to the boiler. The bonus of this is not having a wall thermostat or needing to wire a wall thermostat into another room if you want to use it in the bedroom for example.

The other (simpler) option is wiring the thermostat to the wall where your current thermostat is and just plugging the relay into a wall socket. The only downside of this is that the thermostat has to stay wall mounted and cannot be moved around the house.

The e ink display is great and easily visible from any angle in the room.

If you like gadgets like I do then get this deal :)

Hi Sam... Which gave Netatmo "Best Buy" for the main reason it was easy to install... check out the you tube video:https://youtu.be/bm_ELxzOfw0 or you can call Help Link and get an installer to fit it for you Tel 0808 159 0467

It's super easy, I installed mine this week as wireless. 4 Colour wires. Power typical Blue/Brown connect to the Boiler power and a grey/black that connect to the Thermostat. So yeah, it's as simple as wiring a light switch

Sorry if this is a daft question....but is this like hive and nest where you can control your heating from anywhere? I'm looking at a new thermostat but would be great if I can buy one I can install myself
#10
yes this is like hive and nest and yes you can ibstall it yourself... make sure you turn your electric off before changing the dumb Thermostat fir your new snart thermostat... check out the installation you tube video for step by step guide.

Tempted by this but there's also a nest on offer at the moment. Which is best? Anyone know the difference?

Really want this but there's no way that I would know how to instal this on my old fashioned boiler, it doesn't even have Thermostat.

How would I find someone to install this for me in south west London and roughly how much would the installation cost?
#13
Help Link will install it for you but your looking at around £90... there is a you tube video by netatmo which is very easy to follow.

I looked at the video but it showed how to install this for people with a thermostat, which I don't have. All my boiler has is a dial for timing and a on/off/time mode slider.
