Is it nationwide? That's a very good price!! Could there be a new model soon and they're shifting stock?

I got mine in Milton Keynes yesterday and know of 1 other purchase in Bedford. It says they no longer sell it on their website....

Correct.

4k almost pointless without HDR as on a stream it'll barely look better than a blu ray.

Ali Express - but just make sure that you are buying the MDZ-16-AB model which is the international version. I can't wait for it to arrive! You can also purchase a Mi ethernet adapter if you want to use it directly with your router but the wifi is good anyway because it's using 802.11ac

Gearbest sell it too.

I bought one of these around £60 18 months ago - surprised they're still so expensive. BTW they're UHD - not sure if that's the same thing as 4k?
#24
None in Swindon tesco extra. Only selling the stick and they were out of stock.
#25
am I correct in my understanding that you need 4k TV for this to work with.
#26
Excellent price for the product, however I personally wouldn't go for a Fire TV.

It'll work on any tv with a hdmi port but you need a 4k tv for 4k content to work.
#28
Such a shame it doesn't support HDR. Could that be a firmware update, or would it be a new device?
#29
So many posts gushing about a box manufactured by the lowest bidder! I could write 4K on my old LCD with a marker and someone on this thread would ask " in stock? "

Any decent 4K content available on it?

All Amazons own series are now filmed in 4k, so there's a bit on there - I'm a fan of Sneaky Pete.

Ultra HD is the same as 4k the same way Full HD was the branding for 1080p.

I bought one of these over a firestick because of the ethernet port. Big plus point for me.
