My son said that you have to add Kodi and then a sub program called Exodus - he has done this for a couple of his friends.

Oh the Mother in Law will only use it for Netflixs!

More or less the same as the deal of the day: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/now-live-amazon-firestick-24-95-amazon-8gb-fire-tab-29-99-16gb-version-39-99-40-2553105

Maybe you could also submit those individually... :{

Roku Stick is easier to navigate with Apps, it also now has Amazon Prime TV app but unfortunately no Kodi. Amazon Fire Stick is better for Amazon Prime subscribers because of the way the menus navigate, it does not have Now TV but you can load Android apps such as Kodi onto it.

The Roku Stick I bought from Argos was a nightmare to connect to WiFi. I had similar issues with the Now TV branded Roku box but that was easier to fix as it has an ethernet port. The Roku stick I got from Argos came with an older firmware which did not work with both my WiFi routers. To get it to work with my WiFi I had to get it to the new firmware version. So Roku stick may not be plug and play ready for everyone, so if it doesn't work make sure to return it.

As these are both WiFi devices, I think Roku devices are better at streaming over WiFi than Amazon Fire Sticks (I have a Roku Stick and also an older purple Roku box which only work over WiFi and video is pretty good over WiFi). Best streaming experience at this price range will be a NOW Tv box connected to ethernet port, but Now Tv boxes seriously lack in apps. I have actually replaced the Now Tv Box with the Roku stick and haven't had buffering issues with streaming; I have used the Fire Stick (1st version) in the same room in the past and I would say it did suffer buffer issues.

I have both but my box is 2gb and it definitely runs better than the stick.

Exodus is good, but there are also other programs out there that show different shows and movies. It also depends on which Repository has been added.

Better on the box I would say. I have Kodi on the original 1st version Fire Stick and I can't be bothered with the buffering issues for streaming. As the box connects directly via ethernet network cable, the streaming is much better.

I personally would recommend Raspberry Pi 3 with Kodi as you can get it at a similar price as Fire Stick, it connects to ethernet cable, and also it's easier to run Kodi on it. If you have a TV with HDMI control than you can also control Kodi on the Pi.

Another £10 off it if you go via Quidco and add a packet of pencils at 9p to take it over £25 so you are more or less getting it for £15

For me the box is much better as I get little or no buffering issues connected to ethernet.
