Update:
Thanks to Geemac for spotting that this has now been even further reduced to £19.99.
Those that purchased at the higher price (£22.12) may well be able to get a refund through Amazon's price drop policy. (See post 27 for further info)

Rep left to Geemac, nice spot !

Looks to be a good deal for a good quality product.

Interesting to note this customer review on the 4gb version:
Really good value, simple and robust design and comes with Carry it Easy software on it. This software contains password protection and portable outlook express this suits my needs very well. I've bought another two since for the kids school work, For the price you can't go wrong !

I can't verify this as I don't have the product but if correct for the 8gb I would find the Outlook Express software handy.

Price reduction on the 4gb. £11.14 now

4GB for £12.99, Hot

8GB! Nice deal!

Don't forget that the 4GB @ £12.99 doesn't qualify for free delivery so you'd need to make it up to £15 with a filler item!

This (SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro £13.99 delivered @ Play) might be a better option for those of you wanting to buy a 4GB flashdrive in its own.

Just Ordered this, Thank you.

whoa great voted hot

Not bad,

From the Freecom site:

8mb/s read / 7mb/s write (MAX SPEEDS)

http://www.freecom.com/objects/00011676.pdf

I was looking at the Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8 GB with 34MB/s read and 28MB/s write but at nearly £90 its a rip off!

Looks to be a good deal, but does anyone have info on the Portable Outlook Express, how it works etc? Will be travelling soon and prefer to use blueyonder on Outlook rather than their web interface.

OK price, but they've been at this price for a few weeks now. The 4GB version was cheaper a few days ago (£11+). Voted warm.

For those that purchased the 8gb at £22.12 you should be able to get a refund through Amazon's price drop policy. Follow these instructions (originally supplied by HUKD member ndurve)

Amazon Price Drop Refund
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/contact-us/returns-and-refunds.html

1. Visit Your Account and look at all invoices from the past thirty days.
2. Click on the item names to pull up the current item description/price and compare to the price that you paid.
3. If you paid more than the current price, copy down the order number and go to the Return and Refunds Contact Form page.
4. Select Refund Inquiry as your subject, and check off the order(s) of interest. If you dont see the order in question listed, enter the order number in the Other field.
5. State in the comments that the price dropped, and that you want to be credited for the difference. It might help to mention the item name as well as old and new price, but Im not sure that this is necessary.

regards :)

Will a PS3 accept either the 4GB or the 8GB?

Will a PS3 accept either the 4GB or the 8GB?

It should do, it will just see it as a USB Storage device.

Bumping so members can see about the price reduction and how to claim a refund from Amazon.

See post 26 & 27

4gb one is available at Play.com for £10.99

I'm stuck between this:
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/5100678/Freecom-DataBar-4GB-USB-2-0/Product.html

and the play.com one:
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3335634/Play-com-4GB-USB-Flash-Drive/Product.html

anyone got any recommendations as to which is better?
#31
The 4gb Freecom is now down to £11.14 at Amazon.

You've still got the postage £ problem with Amazon so Play is cheaper if you're not fussed brand wise.

Will edit the OP to reflect the price reduction on the 4gb.

i just brought a 4gb with finger print device for £23.
