not sure why a cold start, this reached over 200 degrees yesterday for same deal? actually this is a penny cheaper!

you can get cheaper bulbs that do the same thing

I'd normally agree but in this case, because it is a bulb, lightening is applicable

Says it works with echo dot, but you still need to the 'bridge'?

Yep, needs a bridge for this....

Thanks. Shame, as I have a Nest (which has it's own 'bridge') and am getting Echo Dot for Christmas. £20 quid for a wireless bulb is expensive enough without needing to buy the starter pack first.

I don't see why they can't make these so they work directly from wifi.

Could be because the deal's title just says White instead of White Ambiance?

Yep. Probably right.

If you want the WiFi built in, look at lifx bulbs, bearing in mind they're a lot pricer! (I went for these as they were cheaper initially, and planned to get them over an extended period of time, ended up getting 4 of the lifx colour 1000 bulbs during the black Friday deals)

Except Amazon don't run "Lightening deals". So, no.

Because they actually work on Zigbee and not Wifi. There needs to be a Zigbee to Wifi Converter which is what the Hub does besides other stuff.

They don't need to in this context. It is a deal on Amazon for lightening your room. So, yes.
