My wife bought a pink one of these for our daughter from Primark for £1.

She slipped and banged it on the wall and it stopped working.

Load of rubbish.

Tried various different brands of these and all are rubbish, lose/gain time. not talking just a few minutes, can be as much as a few hours a day. Had problems with stuck buttons and DOA.

Check the reviews.

My daughter loves these watches. Yes they get broken pretty easy, but for 99p....i don't mind replacing them every so often. Thanks OP :o)

I wouldn't mind them breaking occasionally either, its the not showing the correct time that bothers me.

I have 2 of these in my hand - which I am sending back! The displays are faded showing signs that the batteries are on their way out, the times were both set but one lost time and one gained time all in a 2 hour period - avoid and pay a quid or 2 more for ones that actually work!

The primark ones were great when our daughter had one - but it didnt survive the washing machine in her jeans and now our local dont stock them anymore!

Its amazing in this day and age that digital watches can't keep the time. Had several of these from primark and even the proper breo one and none have kept there time.

Exactly, you pay for what you get.

I'd personally disagree as it does not keep the time - would be like trying to teach your child to tie shoelaces by buying them vecro fastening trainers

If you go for the original Breo make at about £8-10, (which these are an imitation of,) they are much better quality and last a lot lot longer.

Yeah, cos all watches are designed to be banged against walls and be expected to still work properly. Buy her a military watch next time.

Got one of these for our son, paid a fiver for it but the time is always out - it's always slow. These are like something you would get out of a xmas cracker and aren't worth buying at any price imo.
Pay a few quid more for something more reliable and with a better build quality such as a Casio.

there are such watches everywhere including premark, B&M, poundland, ebay

I got one in blue. OK for hiking but not for swimming:)

I had a black one from primark and It stank horribly of Rubber mixed with BO, even after I soaked it in washing up liquid for a while. I went to primark to check I hadn't got one that had been in some manky persons hand and they all smelled like it.

It only lasted for couple of hours - thats what u get for 99p

pay £7 and get one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-F-91W-1YER-Resin-Digital-Watch/dp/B000J34HN4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308144255&sr=8-1

at least it wont stop working after a month

A month you were lucky, I've bought 3 from Primani. 1 was lost first wear (and was working) replacement stopped working same day and 3rd never made it to wrist as it broke as date and time were set.

I f everyone who finds these things unfit for purpose thinks "Oh well, only a pound" (like I have) then they make a lot of money from Tat

i bought 2 of these last year, for when I went on holiday (in case I got drunk and lost my watch)

1 I lost on the 1st day, when I fell asleep by the pool, the other one's in a drawer, still working.
