Was going to get this, but there's just so much coming out around that time along with the PS4 Pro the day before. Will definitely get one at some point but not for release. Great little Christmas gift though.

still seems steep for what it is. I'll wait until the price drops and there are some reviews. Other systems like this have bombed due to poor performance before (Sega). 30 quid tops I'd say and I'll bite. Still heat for the price and it's the cheapest preorder price I've seen.

it more just a post for anyone that was looking for it as per orders were sold out and it is a busy period coming up for games and updated consoles but if it helps someone then that's cool

Aren't Nintendo making this themselves though? Not contracting some crappy third party manufacturer like Sega did?

get yourself a raspberry PI and install retropie

Also it's the same price direct from the Nintendo shop, but you get a free keyring there.

suppose it's comments like this that stop people posting

it is rrp but has been out of stock for a while but if it helps someone get one then its a worthwhile post nobody asked you to click on it

So the RRP is £49 and the OP has posted it at this price (because it's back in stock) and yet as totneschap has pointed out it's available to pre-order cheaper at shopto for £47.86!

What's the difference tho , it's still just a box with an emulator inside, functionally it probably won't be much different . Only positive about it being made by Nintendo is the pads but I would rather get a emulator for the PC and use a Xbox pad that fits your hands (anything that's not square) as I am not nostalgic about controller shape

They would ensure that it's a quality piece of software though (hopefully), and not some laggy cheap crap like the stuff Blaze etc. puts out.

If it turns out to be balls, I'll probably end up gutting it and shoving a raspberry pi in there.

Apples and Oranges.

The Mega Drive console was made by a crappy low budget company called AtGames. Mini NES is going to be officially produced by Nintendo. Big difference.

Anyway, this is the RRP price and it's available pretty much everywhere.

Stuck a pre order in. Can always cancel it if I change my mind.
