The books for Kindle are usually more expensive than real paper books off Amazon.

You download the books from Amazon via wifi and I think you can upload them from your PC too. (haven't got one myself yet.)

When you buy the books they get sent to the email that is linked to the kindle you buy then use either usb or wifi to retrieve them.

Apparently the keyboard version is better it has a greater battery life and is all round a better unit according to reviews ive read.

Once your kindle is connected to PC it acts as USB storage device, books which are in MOBI format on your PC can simply be dragged and dropped onto it :-)

From experience kindle books are often cheaper. But as you pay vat on ebooks not as cheap as you think. I have read some great books for 99p from authors I don't normally read.

good thinking. if your lucky you might sell them for the retail price of £89.99. take off the paypal and ebay fees, not to mention delivery costs, and your left with a profit of.......not alot

Wouldn't the fees make it slightly unprofitable? :{

3 or 4 of the top ten books are normally cheaper on Kindle sometimes you can save a fiver, you need to explore amazons Kindle page because it depends on the type of books you will be buying, as there are thousands of free books

Thanks bought for gf for xmas. I have the keyboard one and have played with the new one.

Wouldn't be too bothered about the battery life are you really gonna be too bothered about charging it once a month instead of every two months?

As to books yes they can be more expensive than real books which is annoying but for ease it's worth the extra 50p.

Also check out fleabay for the really big titles you can get whole series of books for about a fiver, eg all the Dresden Files or Game of Thrones.

Had one of these since launch as I preferred this one as opposed to the keyboard model as this one is lighter and slightly faster at page turning and better looking. I was sceptical at first as I thought i'd miss having a physical book but it's got me back into reading again as it loaded with books and ready to go.

Are you not restricted to purchasing books from Amazon only with a kindle, as opposed to public library, google books etc etc on something like the PRS-T1 from Sony where you can buy from anywhere ?

Does the kindle support music and photo's too ?
#39
I only ever buy books that are on offer (Idiot Abroad £3.50) or get free books. I've been reading loads of old classics that I've never bothered to buy. Around the World in 80 Days...amazing story!

Here's a free book link...frequently updated....

Can anyone confirm the voucher exchange doesn't work with the kindle?
