My first year of prime is almost up. I barely order from Amazon, I don't always find it to be the cheapest. Nor every item listed as prime have been eligible for next day delivery.
I've rarely used amazon prime video because the collection is rather small compered to other streaming services. The moment I saw that content was still pay to rent, my disappointment in the service started.
Prime music I've not used as I have Spotify via Vodafone.
Don't own a kindle so prime library hasn't been used.
Got 50gb storage with Google, so amazon storage again is unused.
Doubt I'd renew my subscription with prime. For me, it's a premium service that doesn't justify the cost.

I'm scratching my head wondering what attracted you to Prime in the first place. :|

This sign up every month with a dot in your e-mail and an "a" in your house number is NOT advisable.
I've been an amazon customer for 17 years and Prime for 8 years
I have built up a relationship with them so they look after me if things go wrong.
Recently an item broke after 11 months they sent me a new one at no charge next day delivery.
I still have my 4 recommends.
Amazon reward loyalty.

Not much of a deal when you can get prime membership free for 1 month and keep rolling on monthly
If you don't care about your order history or have the time and patience to record the logins to potentially 100's of accounts.

My account purchase history goes back to 2003.

You'd also loose / reset your Amazon music and video playlists. As well as having to re-enter all your payment & delivery options on each new account.

This. I'm a reyt tight wad but even I can't be arsed to sign up with a different email addy every month. And not just through laziness but also for the very reasons you outlined.

Make no mistake, this is a HOT deal!

Good for those who regularly order... AMP allows you to get free delivery or collection at your preferred location....

not bad considering as deliveries cost can be expensive

and this can be paid back from product that you can get for reviewing at heavy discount so will pay for it self many times...

My order history is the email address I use and I order stuff everyday from this website so I don't have time to track every orders.

I don't use music and video playlist I have youtube and it take me 2 seconds to enter my card details because I memorised everything.

To all those replying to me I want to say I have been a Amazon Customer for 15 years and been using prime on and off. I don't need a account every month just occasionally and order for the month that's all thanks

Shame, even with Prime, you have to pay for their 'decent' music service now :(

Recently items have arrived after 48hrs not 24. Not even the Xmas rush yet.

Black Friday last year had a big sale for prime only members. £50 for the year instead of £79.

surprisingly I was using Amazon a lot more before I got prime. Then just kinda reduced a lot of my online ordering and it turned out to be more of a waste of money than anything else.

worth it to have access to prime now. went to a byob wedding recently and had to travel there by train, couldn't be bothered lugging around booze with me, so ordered it on the train and it was delivered by the time i arrived. magic.

Yeah I was going to say the same. Mine has been extended by three months through three complaints. If I'm paying for something i expect it to work smoothly and I complain when it doesn't :)

I have the same view as @kos1c; I was tempted by the "amazing" offers but have become more and more disillusioned. The inclusive films on Prime video offer a poor selection and are either old or little known productions. Increasing numbers of items on Amazon are cheaper without Prime. I won't be renewing at the full price in a few days; for me it isn't worth it.

Is membership likely to get even cheaper on black friday, £50 maybe?

I doubt it, it looks like their black Friday deals are running all week.

Oh that reminds me my deal is up. I've been pretty happy what I've used it for so I'd say £59 is a good deal.
Altgough the free month hack seams to work.

I'm going to sign up for the free 30 day trial today and then decide if the tv & movie content is better than my NowTV box. Then I have until Friday night to take up the £59 offer! I usually only buy the NowTV movie pass at Christmas time.

Thanks - My prime runs out on 18th (signed up on last years Black Friday deal) -Just emailed Amazon and asked them can I avail of this rather than paying £79 on renewal. They got back and told me to cancel on 18th and the re-sign on 18th?? - not sure if this will work but I have it in writing so if it goes wrong they can refund me.

My prime membership is up today having got it for £59 last year. The link doesn't work though and errors which maybe to do with the new customers only clause or its a personal offer. Will keep an eye on this thread.

I purchased this last year and have used it very regularly. I often find Music CDs with free prime delivery are cheaper than the digital download option - and include an instant MP3 copy anyway. If I'm not in a hurry for something, I choose the "no-rush" delivery option and often get a pound credit to use on the digital music store (I'd hate to be confronted by how much I spend on music). Also I've ordered loads of little things that are just a couple of pounds to arrive the next morning, much better than wasting a lunch hour popping to the shops to pick them up. ALSO the Prime Music and Prime Video service shouldn't be overlooked - both are very good. I'm a happy Prime customer!

Doesn't appear to be working against accounts that have had a paid prime subscription.

My subscription finished last month and I chose not to renew as I thought this offer would come round again! Just shows as £79 for me .... Will have a chat with them later, see if I can haggle it down!

No they can't.
They have to store the credit card details using encryption. The salt has to be different.
The email address will be encrypted as well.
They're aware of this problem, but can't do anything about it due to their PCI compliance.
