Just saw this on Amazon, I was getting a few bits in my basket to take advantage of the current £10 off £50 spend. It's a sample box of various sports nutrition and slimming products for £10 but you get £10 promotional purchase to spend on sports nutrition or slimming products. I buy slimfast from Amazon, it's cheap at £3.49/tin anyway so it's a free box of stuff including a drinks shaker. And it's bumped my basket up towards the £50 spend so win-win..

My new years resolution- remind myself that sports supplements are for the most part a waste of time. They are the trimmings on a healthy and balanced diet.

It's easy to get the 20g or so of protein that these products offer from other sources that will leave you feeling much fuller.

Why not put your £10 towards a slow cooker and do some healthy meal prep?

Thank you for reading this unsolicited rant.

Cheers ordered one, it'd be pretty good for weight loss as well I reckon, as these shakes are fairly low in calorie and would keep your hunger at bay.
Weight loss has nothing to do with calories.
LMAO some people talk utter crap, know your stuff before you sprout some lies
I would hazard a guess my knowledge in the field is a tad more than yours, but hey ignore my "crap" if it keeps you happy :)

Nothing to do with calories? Could you explain a little more Sunni?
A calorie is simply a unit of energy. It tells you nothing about how your body processes that source of energy when you digest it. Your body responds differently to 500 calories of "fat" to 500 calories of carbs. One increases your insulin level, and the other doesn't.

Only reason why a "calorie controlled diet" may work is because you are actually reducing your insulin spikes... Because you are eating less carbs.

I disagree completely with your comment. The clue is in their name - supplements. They supplement your diet. Just like all foods you consume them in moderation and as a part of a healthy balanced diet.

When I am training, it can be difficult to get 200g's of protein into my diet. A protein bar or shake is a fast, direct solution.

Good spot, I didn't realise that. I've added that to the description, thanks.

True! Like the ON Whey usually drops a lot in price but will this still be valid as well!?

Cracking deal if you use this kind of stuff.

Great spot!
I was going to buy some more BSN edge pwo and it has 25% off through vouchers making it £13. I'll hopefully get that for £3 making these free.

I also added this craft set which is £32 but has a 50% voucher making it £16.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01M4P0E4Z/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Amazon still thinks it's £32 so with that and the fitness pack I just needed £8 more to spend and got the big thanks code to work.

Paid £23.49 in total (£10 I'll get back hopefully when I buy the pwo)

The offer is valid only for the products displayed on http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MYN5TMS

Just takes you back to this offer so I'm assuming it will only give you the discount on the products that you get samples of.

Hoping someone can prove me wrong as I want to order some ON casein protein in the next few weeks.

These are for increased protein so more for those seeking to gain or tone muscle mass or those who have low protein diet such as gastric bypass patients. They're not meal replacements but supplements so in effect you'd add 120 calories minimum per shake. Still it's great once you get into a simple exercise routine so very much has its uses for weight control

thats a great deal even if you dont use the voucher tbh, this would make a very nice gift for gym going person!

Even if you just say each item is £1 including the shaker it's not a bad price. The credit makes this deal decent though and the fact is helped get to £50 to use the code.

The Optimum Nutrition protein (the stuff in the black and gold packet) is gluten free. Not sure about the USN stuff though - can't find any info on that one

They'll just do what they did in previous years and give 'em away free with order above £40, like they did with their creams and lotions...
