Is there a way past this if you're not a student?
Report the issue as a violation of equalities and and discrimination law.
Statistically most students are 18-21, so this is targeted towards young adults (who clearly do not need discounts as they can afford to get drunk so often and spend £3 on a a coffee, when a jar costs £2 ;).
It is time age discrimination was put to an end!

Just to be clear minimum wage for a person aged 18-20 is £5.30 an hour.... Where 21 and over is £6.70 and 25 and over is £7.20 So if you want to talk about age discrimination I think it's about time you take a long hard look in mirror. All that "Money" you say students have to get drunk is a loan... they will be paying it off for the rest of their life... some stupid people on here.

Unfortunately not. Amazon require an ac.uk email address.

Thought you could get round it without the ac.uk email??

You can. You just need NUS extra card. Email them an image of it and Amazon will sort it for you.

Just picked up a GTX 980ti 6Gb Strix for £239.
Heat added.
Damn, that is a hell of a deal.
Because I registered a new account with my student email, Amazon security held up my order to confirm my identity. After confirming everything they wanted in the email and over the phone just to be sure. I missed a call from the security team at 5pm and in turn they deleted my student account and cancelling my order.
Spent an hour on the phone with some guy who sounded high as a kite, before he started calling my by a different name and hung up on me. Spoke to another guy and he's trying to sort it out for me. But by the looks of it, they robbed me of this deal and I am absolutely livid to be missing a 980ti at this price.

9 years a member & never posted a deal. Some call that Karma. All take
Nobody robbed you, it wasn't yours to start with.

deal valid for 2 months so you have plenty of time if they sold out now as they keep adding new items on regular basis :)

Not sure it's just me or not but I have tried the xb1 and the tv but I still get a full price during checkout. Maybe this offer only for Prime Student not for regular Student account?

only one order per account?

Update - placed two orders so looks like its not limited to one order

Did you apply the code from your NUS account to the Amazon payment page? You only have to do it once and it sticks for the year.

you must put the 5% discount code taken from Nus Extra website. But the code has expired on last 31st August. Not sure either they will send a new code after that but I haven't received a new code yet.

The 5% discount only applicable for a new items that sold directly by Amazon

Will Nus give a new code after August?

No, every October they do in cade your membership last more than that.
There is a £70 cap on the code.

thanks for posting op.

Have some heat bro!
Some of these amazon warehouse deals deserve their own section though, call it 'Amazon warehouse Rip-Offs'
Used - Acceptable Xbox one console with 2 old games: £587.07 You'd think they'd have some kind of quality control on that kind of thing.

if you already have normal prime but have NUS extra card... how can you get the discount?

i don't get what I'm doing wrong. I have a prime account and it states Amazon Student in membership but I don't get the discount. Do you have to register an Nus card to get discounts?

Yes, sign up for a short online course and you buy an NHS card. Then email amazon with a photo of this and they will give you 6 months trial of amazon student.
Just google "how to get a NHS card without being a student"

You need an NUS EXTRA card and yes it needs to be registered to your account with a unique code.

Weird that it's never actually stated that I need to register an Nus card. This deal doesn't mention it either. States it's open to Amazon Student accounts which I have. Now I'm going to have to work out how to get an Nus extra card. ;)

You don't need an NUS Extra card to have an Amazon student account. The NUS card has it's own discounts with retailers and Amazon was one of them, the code gave 5% off but someone further up has said it expired end of Aug.
