The instrument is ideal for learning cheesy 80s pop songs, video game theme tunes etc. If you have no interest in learning anything and just want to make noise then you will get bored quickly. If you learn songs on it then it could give you lots of joy.
It helps if you have played piano as its then very simple to transfer piano tunes over to the stylophone, but there are a bunch of youtube videos of songs with instructions to play them. Eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msK4DSd0k8c
