  It is the perfect size for this resolution. At 4/3 aspect ration it will feel a lot more than the 1" bigger than standard 7" tablets.
  
  On appearance it is a quality 'faster than iPad 1' type tablet.

  About par for the course for a Chinese import at the moment.
  
  Although the screen on this one looks better than a lot at this price point. A lot will depend if the firmware implementation is any good as the A10/Mali400 guts of it are actually not all that powerful ..... the 1gb of RAM will help.

  I think there is going to be a load of these cheap 'new size' 8" chinese tablets hitting the market very shortly.
  
  As an Eken A90 owner [which has exactly the same spec apart form a larger 9.7" screen, 16Gb storage and an 8,000mAh battery] , I'd say better wait for the newer dual core examples for better performance.

  As mentioned a few times, these will be old tech very soon and there are tons of variations of them already available. More likely there will be flood of them as folk try and offload them. The key to these is the firmware. Most of the hardware specs are very similar to numerous other units, how good the ICS build on it is the unknown .....

  Dual core is noticeable in multitasking environments and gaming. Unfortunately, the cheap availability of power means there's a lot of sloppy programming. If O/S and apps were designed to get the most from the hardware you probably wouldn't need as much power on these sorts of devices.

  If anything it will make things worse.
  I run my Ainol Elf on android 2.4 as it still runs better than on Android 4 ( better battery life, and faster ). The Ainol has a better ICS rom than most other Chinese tablets too.

  It's still a good spec for the price - playing with a good single core next to a dual core, I don't notice any difference at all on most games - HEAT added
