Amazon special - was £79.99 now £49.99.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I couldn't find any mention of it.

Anyone know if it's hackable? Supposedly, these look quite nice (thin and stuff)

From the image, the software running on it looks like MIOMAP. No idea if it's hackable tho.

Hot!

Your title and post could really do with some work. It doesnt even say the product name anywhere in it.

Get a Navigo from Ebuyer for £54.99 .......it now runs Tomtom V7 !!
#8
how do you get tom tom 7 and how does it run on the navigo
#9
I've got a Navigo and it's great - it's just chunkier than a Yorkie bar (not to mention it won't actually run TT7 very well at all!)
#10
I can't find a single review for this bar the Amazon one, I'd agree with Mecoconuts, get the navigo , as for the hack try Sarah here

I am using MioMap in Navigo (can't get others to work) but I'd say MioMap is good enough SatNav software.

Works fine on mine. What problems have you found?

That's for Version 6. I can run TT6 no problems at all. I believe you can get TT7 running on it (having Googled it) but it doesn't sound simple. I have a PDA which installed TT7 first time. Tried doing the same thing on the Navigo and it ran out of memory and refused to run! Haven't tried since.

Miomap (a version based on Igo) is far better than TomTom, if however you can upgrade to iGo 8 (the latest version of iGo) you've got an even better satnav. :)
#15
TT7 works fine now on the widescreen Navigo. navsoon.org is the place to go for all the latest Navigo stuff

better than the turbomanure navigo even though it's hackable seeing as miomap is so good ?

Is it just me or does that post not make any sense?

I've got the NaviGo and it's been absolutely fine for me. No idea on the Typhoon one, though it looks good on the face of it.

With the Navigo, I've been running both TomTom and Miomaps without a problem.

I'm aware that the Navigo will run anything - in fact, it's based on Windows CE hence.
Hence the reason I asked if this one was equally hackable.

My gripe with the Navigo is that it's chunky and ugly as hell (especially when in the cradle)

I've just bought this as i've still got my amazon prime trial running meaning it should arrive tomorrow. Ill post to let you's know if its any good.

Do items sent via amazon prime arrive via courier or royal mail and do they need to be signed for?

ermm.. is it just uk map then cant find it if it is, if its europe its a really good deal.

The picture on this device is very similar if not identical to the picture on the "Myguide 3100" that has been available for a long time on www.ebuyer.co.uk. The Myguide is pretty good, I bought one for my girlfriend at Christmas and I have done a few journies putting it to good use. If this devices performs as well as the Myguide, for this price it is a good buy.

I think the choice of which software to run depends on how much you like to fiddle! I think iGO8 is the best followed by tomtom7. Tomtom i think is the one to recommend to non tech friends
#23
Tomtom7 (naughty version) only works on certain versions of Windows CE (doesn't work on HP Ipaq 2210) but Igo 8 does.
#24
Anybody know what actual model this is a clone/rebadge of?

Is it one of the Mio models?

Is this likely to be running V3 of Miomap?
#25
I bought the 4.3" version of the Navigo from e-buyer in March . Excellent device for the money . I hacked mine and have TT6 , Miomap3 ,Turbo$hite & Igo on the same 2gig SD card . I did all this for experimental purposes as I have always used TT but I really like Mio on the navigo and now use this most of the time .

Thanks for the update.

Is there anything that might indicate what this is a rebadge or clone of?

Also, can you confirm what version of Miomap is installed.

Thanks

The sat nav is running Windows CE Core 5.0.

I cant seem to find anything about miomap on it but it does mention tele atlas and iGo. From the time traveller website it turns out that it is running Tele Atlas.

It finds a signal really quickly.

The speaker is a bit poor, its quiet and also quite distorted when the volume is set to full.

I cant see anything that might indicate it being a rebadge or clone, but it looks really well made and im glad i've bought it.

The software seems really good although i would like to try and see if i can get TomTom or some other software working on it, i've never done it with a sat nav before so i'll need to do some research. If you's have any tips feel free to share.

It comes with the holder, usb cable, in car charger and a mains charger.

I'll take and upload some pictures now.
