Good deal. Cancelled my £100 refurb Voyage for this, after buying the origami case it would have come to £140 anyway, so would rather spend the £30 extra on a far better on newer device

You've forgotten that the refurb Voyage would also be eligible for 20% off, bringing the price down to £80. You're actually spending at least £60 extra for the refurb Oasis, even after buying the origami case for the Voyage.

The £100 I mentioned did include the 20% off :p

Ah, okay.

I bought a refurb Kindle Voyage for £78 with the 20% discount so I assumed you'd had the same deal :{

Ordered. Going to sell my voyage. I love the physical buttons on this rather then haptic on the voyage which I find are badly placed

Mine's just arrived, although there's no leather cover in the box... Did anyone else get it?

Hi
no leather cover in mine - have emailed Amazon as description clearly says with black leather case for the item I ordered
#9
also looks like used stock is gone now
#10
Waiting for mine tomorrow
#11
Without the leather cover it's not worth it. Any update on this guys

Went on Amazon chat and got offered a £25 rebate. Politely declined and went for the refund... Have ordered another with no great expectation that it'll include the advertised case!
#13
Wow is that is the case is like 80£
#14
Same result here. No case. Case costs £79. Complained and as they couldn't supply I returned item. Ah well. Worth a try.
#15
Couldn't they discount £79 to order a new case
#16
Mine came without a case too. The chat rep offered me a refund of almost £60, I accepted as I wanted the red case to begin with but it wasn't available. So I'm down £20 off the original deal but I'll get the case I wanted, so I'm happy!
#17
The merlot case looks amazing that's the case I want . Waiting for mine to be delivered
#18
Seems to be luck of the draw as to what rep you get. My second one came today, also minus cover and was told just to send it back for a refund.
#19
ok i didn't get the case either so gave them a call.....they offered me £12.99 to buy a case, i advised them that the standard case which comes with the oasis is not £12.99 as they were implying. i explained its the premium leather charging case. after around 25 minutes of holding and a phone disconnection, they agreed to refund £79.99 towards a case.
#20
I've sent an email asking for a refund of the additional £20 as others in the same situation have received the full £79.99, figure the worse they can say is no! Still happy I'm going to end up with the Merlot case and I have to say that I really adore my Oasis (I was worried it would have some sort of issue as I have had problems with Amazon Warehouse electronics in the past, but it seems that I lucked out and got a like new one).
#21
yeh good luck
what i don't understand a new device cost £269.00 with the case
and this was sold as used wthout the case for 171.06£ adding the £79.99 working out around 251.00 so not a massive saving. its only fair they cover the cost of the case or provide the case as advertised.

i do like the device, but one thing i prefer on my voyage is the adaptive lighting... im sure they could introduce that via software.

Didn't realise everyone else was in the same situation as well... Amazon live chat weren't helpful at all, just saying I had to send back the device and re-order it. Spoke to them on the phone and they offered a £40 refund, then £50. I said no and I'll just get a refund, then they finally came back and gave me a £79 refund so I could order the case which I went and did. Just waiting for the case to arrive now (Walnut) but I love the device so far, so light! I can finally read with one hand
#23
I'm. Still waiting for my refund. I had an email but nothing processed
#24
They approved an additional £20 for me (which they refunded on my case order, not my kindle order), so I got the entire deal and the Merlot case I wanted all along, which should be delivered today.

I really love the Oasis so far, it's removed every single complaint I had about the Voyage (couldn't really read one-handed, pages didn't always turn when I pressed the buttons, sometimes loaded slowly). I never found the adaptive lighting to work well for me to begin with and always ended up manually adjusting, so the lack of has not been a concern.

Thanks again to the OP for catching the offer, I couldn't be happier!

Edit: Didn't realise I had two accounts! I'm the same as erica77.

Is your refund showing ? may have to send a follow up email
#26
I don't like the delay it takes to wake up on the oasis compared to voyage but what's a few sec

It's because the Oasis has a new power saving features so it uses less battery when it's sleeping
#28
My initial refund on the Oasis itself came through in a few hours, but I requested a gift card for that one to order the case with. The £20 on the case is showing on the order, but I haven't checked to see if it's made it on to my card yet.

Ok I've contacted them. The other rep didn't actually put it through so it had to be authorised again .. Luckily they have done it.. I guess it helped me having a merlot cover on order. So that's good now. Cover bloody expensive for what it is, I had a feel of the black one in John Lewis it didn't even feel like leather and looked cheap.
