uses batteries which is a shame. I got the 2nd gen ipega for £15- a lot better
also the box contains a code for a free download of 'sonic cd' however mine was invalid.

Mine was too. I emailed them and they said the promotion had finished and they could not do anything about it.

Sonic CD is the amazon appstore free app of the day today for anyone disappointed they missed it with their voucher.
uses I got the 2nd ipega
How is this as a Bluetooth controller for PC? Thinking if it is quite good and portable enough, pair it with a Linx tablet :)

That's what I'd be interested in it for, potentially, but haven't seen many being successful when Googling the subject.

Needs decent 2x AAA batteries (cheap ones hardly work, Duracell are great)

As far as I understand it, there's nothing special about Duracell, so any alkaline batteries (which Duracell are) should be okay. The problem is probably with the zinc / dry cells, which are cheaper than Alkaline but also considerably worse on just about every level. So poundland etc alkaline should be fine.
