Canon EOS 6D Digital SLR Camera Body Only - Brand New for only £818.99 @ Techinthebasket

Lowest I have seen, if anyone can beat it let me know. Fantastic camera, although I am still debating between this and the 7D Mark ii. Quality this blows me away, full-frame for such price is temptin…

make sure it is the wi-fi version. Believe it or not 6D comes in two variants. Great camera though
6D is a full frame camera, not for filming really, no need to compare it to 7D as it's not full frame full stop. All the shortcomings you think of against 7D are not really a concern for serious photography users.
Decent price, but it's not unbelievable given the grey market deals around. Personally whilst the Canon cashback is on i'd be dedicating my time trying to get it for sub 950 ish with a price match.

6D vs 7Dii is a tough one. 6D is full frame, and has a great signal to noise ratio. But the 7D ii has some decent tech on board, and is a stellar performer. Personally I'd go 6D. But then maybe i've just forgotten how much I value the focussing system on my mk 1 7D... Either way the lenses will cost you a fortune if you compare apples with apples, i.e. decent f2.8 glass for APS-C with Full frame L glass. The difference being the L glass will probably retain it's value better.

I wouldn't blanket turn down grey imports as a few have, but I would consider what you will do "if" something goes wrong. In my opinion it would be worth spending some of the saving on decent accidental damage insurance for your kit. Equally, provided you buy from a stockist inside the UK, in "theory" you have a warranty with them, not Canon, so they can get it repaired wherever they like, including paying Canon. Obvious flaws to this arguement which you should consider is what if the company ceases to exist if your camera requires a repair or disputes the cover provided by their warranty. This is all worth considering given your personal financial situation, whether you can afford the bill if it breaks and you end up having no warranty and whether you depend on your kit for income etc. If you are happy to risk this, go for it, but do go into it with your eyes open. Personally I'm pro grey imports, provided the means by which they arrive in the UK is legal since large savings are to be had. I've looked at them and know people who have purchased from hdew in the past and my next camera will possibly be from there too.

Seems a good price. They claim it's sent from the uk but "sourced" globally (so warranty might be an issue) and that delivery is 6 days. Great camera, I've got one and they do work with 3rd party lenses (but not canon ef-s), I use my cheap tamron 70-300 with no problems (until I can save up for a decent 70-200).
I got mine from DigitalRev for a similar price about a month ago and it arrived super fast (from Hong Kong within about 4 days!). I personally wasn't worried about the warranty issue due to the huge saving I was making.
Also pays to shop around though and see if John Lewis will price match - I did this before and got the 6D for £749 after summer cashback, then you're covered by their warranty as well as from Canon :)
They price matched a grey import? If so il be all over this been waiting to upgrade to a6D for a while.

I price matched against a different company (SLR Hut).
