Actually, zinc chloride are better for smoke alarms, rather than alkaline. Write down the date you changed it, then do the same next year every year.
Poundland site says two for a pound (different brand) - slightly more expensive, and no free delivery:

I have bought cheap paintbrushes in the past, and trust me it can go wrong lol... The bristles fall out alot

Cheap but the word quality and those brushes shouldn't go together.

No, but they are perfect for priming, rough painting etc and then just chucking in the bin.

No their not, if they are like any of the other dozen sets or so i have tried you'll spend more time picking the bristles out of the paint then you actually spend painting. Adding that the bristles are so thin on the ground that you get absolutely no coverage, so you spend the rest of the time dipping it the paint.

Has anyone actually bought a set and tried it or we're just making assumptions they are bad?
I certainly think they are worth a try for £1.72. Can't go wrong.

Report back when you receive yours, hope fully I will be pleasantly surprised.
