Eager to sell already are you, you've just bought it.

Numerous superior deals have been posted workout even looking for them unlike this reduced mac from some market place seller.

Don't forget that tiny pc is touchscreen too, not to mention the massive gulf in spec on the proper laptop or the one you linked to. I think we shall just leave it at you learning something about price and spec today shall we.

They save a bundle on low spec and charging for updates I expect, probably why they have 100 billion in the bank.

Are your clients impressed by the way when you tell them all about your baby mac :D

Of course there is a massive gulf in spec, its a tiny laptop vs a full size laptop. Jeez. I think you have a bit to learn mate. So happy to leave it there. As you are gettin g ridiculous about low specs on Macs lol. Away and read up. Cya :)

Sorry but there is only £50 difference between the tiny laptop u posted and this Mac air. You would get more than that back on the resale of the Mac when upgrading.

Does the phrase reaching or quit while you can mean anything to you.

Why would you want a similar or spec as this Mac?? Why not get a proper laptophttp:// http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Lenovo_G510_4th_Gen_Core_i7_8GB_1TB_Windows_8.1_Laptop_in_Black__59406131/version.asp

Core i7 (4 cores mind not hobbled 2) 8gb ram, proper size screen,

Or if you want tiny at least get yourself a nice touchscreen one and save yourself some money.

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Acer_TravelMate_X313-M_Core_i5_4GB_120GB_SSD_11.6_inch_Touchscreen_Converti_NX.V8LEK.002/version.asp

That was just one quick look on one place, probably loads of deals out there or on here if you look. All make this basic mac look very limited and expensive.

Man, what's the point. This deal is for a mini laptop, I compared like for like as you said you could get better bang for buck with a windows version. But windows was way more expensive.

With the FULL SIZE laptop that you posted:

Does it match the quality of case a Mac has
Will it impress my clients
Will I get the in store support

Answer, all no. How would Apple make money if they sold at the same price?

I'm thinking of getting a new lap top to do video editing- would something like this be able to handle editing HD video? I got a PC laptop in January and its so slow. What kind of specs would I be looking to get to have something which can handle lots of HD video and not crash or grind to a halt?

Not sure it's got enough umpf TBH, it's geared more towards portability than power, maybe a MBP if you want apple. Don't be afraid to look at second hand either.
Nope I upgraded to lion and it's been Ok. Just not had time to upgrade to the most recent version.

im currently sitting using my 2007 macbook air, which is just as good as the day it was bought!

Surely a 2007 Mac is now running an unsupported/insecure version of OSX? Probably less secure than using fully patched Windows XP!

I have a MacBook Air that I bought after being stung by dells tragic customer service and what turned out to be an awful XPS 13. I run windows primarily as I prefer it as an operating system but as far as hardware goes, my air is unbeatable and windows runs the best it ever has.

Also with a 3 year apple care warranty that I know will actually be there for me to take advantage of if necessary (unlike dell). This is a phenomenal deal for such good hardware! :)

For those considering the merits of Apple vs Windows (hardware and software aspects)....the following review of the Surface Pro 3 is most illuminating;

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/microsoft-surface-pro-3-review-if-you-had-to-be-a-86496376264.html

The video is great too (a parody of the old Mac vs Windows ads of yesteryear).

I would far sooner pick up the SP3 than one of these Airs. It just seems to be a vastly more complete device...

The Surface Pro 3 looks amazing, I would rather buy that than an iPad. But when it comes to personal computing, I think a lot of people care about the OS, and Windows is just not up to it for many.

What are these for? Are they like freeview boxes? or do you have to pay extra for services?

They are internet streaming boxes, tied heavily into the Apple eco-system.

With ATV3 you have a 1080p device for viewing YouTube, Vimeo, Flikr, Netflix, Sky News, Bloomberg, Redbull TV, MLB.TV, NHL, NBA, WSJ Live, VEvo, Quello, Crunchy Roll and KorTV (all free except NetFlix) - it can use your Apple ID (iTunes account) to play the music you've bought through iTunes and view the TV and Films bought on with iTunes account. If you have an iPhone or other "i" device, you can view your PhotoStream on the device. You can rent films and TV through iTunes as well.
If you have a Mac or PC running iTunes, you can stream any iTunes content from the PC to the ATV3 and view it on your TV set, through a slick and well presented interface. You can send photos from iTunes to the ATV3 to use as slideshows or a TV screensaver.
It has one of the best implemented NetFlix interfaces that I've seen.
With films that have proper META tags (encoded data) in iTunes, the ATV3 can implement parental controls with a PIN number. Something I use with two children. One can only watch to 12cert, while the other can watch 15cert, but both are blocked from 18cert content.

That's the PROs.

The CONs.

To stream any TV or Film from your PC it must be in a Apple-compatible MP4 format (I use Handbrake) although most TV floating on the internet is in MP4 format already. MKV files won't play natively. You need to have a PC on and running iTunes to stream media - it won't connect directly to a USB drive or network to any NAS. If you don't have media on a PC and don't have NetFlix, the options are rather bland and very limited (and iTunes purchases and rentals are damn expensive IMO).
Also, since firmware 5,1 the ATV3 WiFi is totally unstable and drops/reboots frequently. So if you cannot wire your network, be prepared for some aggravation.

For film, music and TV streaming wired and NetFlix it's the dogs. On WiFi with just free web-content then it's pricey and unreliable. Look at a Western Digital media box instead.

I've got four ATV3's, all wired.

New one due this year, perhaps hold off if not desperate.
Personally would rather pay an extra £1 and get it from Amazon.
Out of all the FBA deals offered on that page you post one for a seller who has only 3 feedback @ 0% with nothing but poor reviews plus only 4 items for sale.
