I've had this bookmarked on ebay for boyf. An Anodized aluminum engraved medical card for your wallet, £5.46 approx delivered (from the US).

I'd recommend something more visible for people to find if your boyf can't tell them where to look. most paramedics etc will check for bracelets and necklaces, but I'm not sure that they would for through your wallet.
I already bought him silicone write-on bands http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WRITE-ON-MEDICAL-ALERT-SILICONE-WRISTBANDS-PACK-OF-2-/331107035342?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Mobility_Disability_Medical_ET&hash=item4d178468ce

He says he WON'T wear a medical necklace: he hates them. To be honest, as he has Addison's too and the medical care he receives can be hit and miss, others knowing doesn't necessarily guarantee swift, suitable care. But that's another story :p

I got the wife one of these as they are always changing her medication and she is allergic to some. You can record any number of conditions or meds and update it every time the doctor decides to try something new

Pretty bad idea to wear one if you are not diabetic.

can't think of anyone who would?

personally I might've got one if it said 'asthmatic' on it. recently had an attack on public transport.

I have these

you can add any thing you like. these guys were cheapest for a pair of embossed tags when I bought mine but that was a couple of years ago. I have one with personal info name ICE etc and one with my various conditions.
