I have been looking at picking up one of these recently. This seems a great price for the spec! I can't see it cheaper anywhere else, please let me know if you can! Cheers

LG G2 doesn't have a micro sd slot. Deal breaker for me.

Anyway this is expired.

only N5 has the ability to change to ART instead of DALVIK at the minute .
ART is also available on the Nexus 4. Only works on phones running 4.4.2 and if the manufacturer has enabled it. Not available on HTC One or One Mini or the S4.As stated, it does make the apps open very smoothly - actually more like an iPhone (feels shame at saying it). I showed it someone at work who has an S4 and he thought that was smooth until he saw mine - very smooth and lag free. To enable it go into settings > about phone and click Build number repeatedly. Developer options will then become available in the settings menu (second from bottom) . Select runtime is the fourth option down.
Didn't make any difference on my N4 running ART compared with Dalvik, in fact it seemed slower. Battery life was still rubbish, and some apps simply wouldn't work (e.g. Citrix Received) switched back to Dalvik and I swear battery life was better.

You're right about the battery life. I've installed the Snapdragon battery app and that really seems to make a difference.

Yes indeed, that DID make a difference.
But not enough, I'm selling it :)

Immediately changing to ART and downloading the snapdragon app. I easily get 12 hours playing on it non-stop, watching youtube videos, listening to music, and calling people.

Thanks for the tip about Snapdragon, but what is ART and how does it extend battery life?

I have the Nexus 5 and find the battery pretty poor so far...

Apparently android's runtime is based on a DALVIK architecture,
however they are developing a new runtime called ART, which is far much efficient and a hell of a lot quicker. only N5 has the ability to change to ART instead of DALVIK at the minute .

Google it to find out how...
It's as simple as going into developer options in the settings menu and changing Runtime from DALVIK to ART though.
Your phone restarts and jiggles all your apps and shazam shiny fresh and quick as a fiddle.

Don't ask for any more details as that's the extent of my knowledge into the magic behind it.

moto g can art as well
