Yes, this has been available from Amazon.fr for cheaper but this was more than a month ago and has expired. I was personally looking to buy one from a trusted UK seller and this is cheapest I've found…

needs to be a lot cheaper before I would consider changing from Nexus 7 32GB 4G. which was cheaper than.this on release day with 4G. yes it's a bit bigger but double the price of the nexus 7 32GB gen 2 was on release. give or take £20.
It's not a case of how much you "think" this should be, but what it is in reality - and I've found this as the cheapest (minus the link the I posted in the description to Simply Electronics - which has been removed).
Tbh I'm deliberating on whether I can justify the cost of buying this but it'll be my first tablet so don't have anything to compare it to.
It's a rip off pure and simple! Compare the price of one in the states to this even after adding VAT.
Google and HTC are taking the pi$$ with the pricing of this.

Well, not just Google or HTC but basically most of the electronics in the UK are overpriced in this sense...
Most firms don't charge an extra £80 for 16gb of extra built in memory, £50 is usually the norm so sorry I disagree - they are taking the Michael!

I've just upgraded from my LG G Pad 8.3 and looked at all the premium tablets but with LTE. I settled on a Sony Z3 Compact Tablet with 16gb and LTE for £353, it lacks the slightly larger higher resolution screen of the Nexus as well as a 64bit chip but it has more RAM memory (3gb as opposed to 2) a memory card slot, is 2/3rds the weight, slimmer, longer battery life, and waterproof to boot. It also does voice calls too so you are not stuck with paying through the nose for data via data only plans so I use my 3 unlimited internet sim in it with no problems. After adding a 32gb Micro SD card I have 48gb and LTE for still less than a Nexus 9.

Is it NOT this very similar 'Pricing Structure' that the likes of Apple have been palming off their 'iDevices' with for a while now? (& Samsung initially as well?), or .....

I would pay extra to get one from JL plus you get £100 google play voucher. Sell the voucher, basically same price and UK model, 2 year guarantee as well.

I'm waiting for uk stock to come down in price, or the new nexus 10 to be released.....well that's the plan.
The UK one is eligible for the 100 Play credit - if you need the credit it is effectively the same price.
Marketplace....been £310 - £299 for several weeks now from several sellers. These will not be New UK stock, clearly.

Every major retailer has this at £400+.

just for your info,

ordered from an amazon fullfilled seller.
no guidebooks, slightly dodgy packaging, a lot of chinese stuff inside the phone..
can uninstall all of them, but probably no warranty from nokia in UK..
expired?
Great price but will almost certainly be from Asia and so will not be covered by the Nokia European 24 month warranty.
Ah thanks, I know it did a major update when I first bought it, I'd mistakenly thought that was 8.1, when it was the black update. I'll try 8.1 as notifications are one of wp8 current weak points. I'll give 8.1 a whirl over the weekend - just need to check internet sharing works as it should.

Productivity I understand - yours as business use tied to office, mine and many users - entertainment / information - and that's where the lack of apps lets thing down. I'm a huge proponent of the open web, and wonder where the reliance on apps will take us, but accept that the app is the perfect for a smaller screen (phone / smaller tablets).
The OS from a user experience is great - although it does at times feel like things are different for difference sake (and likely patent lawsuits), but the primary reason of a smart phone is sorely lacking. Apps - lack of breadth of choice, quality of what there is and lets be honest - the store is a shambles. MS is no RIM / Firefox etc - which is why the app situation astounds me

My primary reason for a smartphone is productivity, and the tie-in to MS Office is what makes WP8 (on a Samsung Ativ S) a winner for me. In terms of apps, there is nothing I really miss having come from Android, and some stuff I really appreciate. Here Drive , for example , is the most excellent satnav I have ever used, and is ahead of any standalone or built in solutions I have experienced.

Just got this deal for £300 +£4.95 shipping. not bothered about the stylus and what I want it for spec a plenty. Not fussed about warranty as to make the unit useable for my needs it needs rooting which voids the waranty. Was also looking at the note 2014 as the alternative but the extra money didn't warrant the additional features as waiting for the new 4k supported tablets to come out later in the year with the new quadcore 2.7 805 chips at which point the kids can have this one.
im returning my white note 2014 tomorow to john lewis bought it price matches for 360.00 with two year warranty nothing wrong with it besides a very little light bleed at the botom of screen. if anyone interested u can have it 360.00 with two year warranty. hardly used ,

We're did you get the note 10.1 .2014 from for £395

I bought my son a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 for about £330 from Currys in Bluewater a couple of weeks ago. The standard price was £360 but I get Curry's vouchers at 8% discount through work - bringing the net price down to £330.

Looks like Currys have put their price back up to £450 now. :-(

I just got the note 10.1 2014 for 359£ better spec and not a grey import
Can't understand why people see this as a better tablet than the note?

Personally, I can't stand the hardware menu button which has finally been replaced by the recent apps button. This is also lighter and of course, I don't really care about the stylus.

We're did you get the note 10.1 .2014 from for £395
This seems to be out of stock now from specified seller. I asked a different seller (Top Deals UK) where they were getting them from and they replied back saying they're sourced from Hong Kong and that the warranty is a two-year global warranty. I don't think Samsung offers global warranty for their tablets...
