This brilliant twin fan Amcor CF130 portable personal table top air cooler reduces localised air
by up to 7 degrees centigrade at 50% relative humidity which can be increased even more by
using iced water.

It creates a stream of cool air from a 4.5 litre capacity reservoir, de-humidifying as it cools. Its
the perfect summer solution especially when one person wishes cooler air than others in the
same room or when the air is too humid.

I have no idea how it works, I just saw it at this price and thought I'd post it..it is summer after all :)

Yes, this is a personal cooler, not an air-con. It is essentially a fan that blows cold air, cooled by ice water.

'When the air is too humid' how can introducing 4.5 litres of water into the air rapidly ease humidity?:whistling:

That description on Morgan appears to be lying. The same description from a different site, but with one difference:
"Creates a stream of cool air from a 4.5 litre capacity reservoir, humidfying as it cools."-http://www.rgk.co.uk/acatalog/info_CF130_.html

I can't find any mention of a de-humidifier function on the Amcor site so it looks like the "de" part crept into the morgan description.

However, it does look cheap and cheerful, and very tempted to buy one myself. So hot from me.
