But I am interested in this machine because 14 inch screens are so rare these days.

Also I'm wondering if it can be overclocked? I've read the 1.6GHz chip can easily be turned up to 2GHz in a desktop but I know laptop overclocking is not so easy.

unfortunately, cannot.Bios will not let you do it, other attempts may affect warranty or damage laptop.Cooling systems of laptops are usually inefficient .
