Of course it can handle crysis, pretty much any card can play crysis even the cheap ones, the question is how high settings can they handle it on. But if you are going to ask a stupid question like that then obviously the settings are not important to you and so you might as well get a much cheaper card.

I would personally prefer to spend the extra £12 to get an XFX one from Scan, which also includes an extra years warranty: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-xfx-hd-6950-pci-e-21-%28x16%29-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-800mhz-1408cores-dl-dvi-i-dvi-hdmi-2x-mdp

This (like all 6950s) can also be upgraded to a 6970 with a BIOS upgrade.

Only the plants. You will need to add a second card for the zombies.

if you go by reasons given for cold votes on some deals, this would be could as it was 2.5% cheaper before the vat rise(i.e. it's been cheaper in the past thus this is cold) :)

I would say so as it's a well known brand which is being sold at like £20+ more at most other places.

Went fo this one in teh end becuase it has 2 Dual-Link DVI-I rather than one. Will let you know how I get on. Upgrading from a 8800GTX.

This card is MASSIVE, your looking at 280mm in length. Make sure it will fit before you start buying.

Good shout, i have a full ATX beast of a case and it only just fits.

It wont be long until it will be a separate device outside the PC if they get any bigger! Ha

Crikey, it would only just squeeze into my MATX (Lian Li PC-V351).

yes but, can it?

At what resolution?

At 4890 won't run Crysis maxed out at 1920x1200 without stuttering, so a 4850 won't

I agree. My overclocked 5850 and i5 750 (3.8ghz) still has some framerate issues on Max settings with 2X AA. Are you playing in DX10 or DX9?

Bought it.

Flashed the vBIOS.

Now performs like a Radeon HD 6970.
