Oh, I read it as the 8150, can be had cheaper elsewhere.
Good price but buyer beware it will eat your electricity!
it will eat as much electricity as other cpu's with that performance...
Troll in action I guess
BTW £109.99 elsewhere

Where? I tried to google for a lower price but couldn't find anything lower. I hope you are not referring to TechBox coz that one shows £109 on Google shopping but actual price is £123 on the website.

Not trolling, it's power usage massive and the performance is hardly huge.
Whilst it's idle consumption is similar to a 2600k it's loaded consumption is nearing 200%!
It really is a power guzzler.
But they are charging £7.25 for delivery, plus there is no cash back.
88.
88.
Would that be 88.1 or 88.2?
And free next day delivery is you have prime.
yer nothing like a monopoly to drive the prices up really high!!!!oO
Yeah, then watch the prices shoot up with no competition....
It's a terrible processor with terribly unbalanced performance. Single threaded performance is abysmal, highly threaded performance is slightly faster than a 2600K. Considering that it is only slightly faster in programs that use all 8 threads at 100% work load....(very rare) Basically 2nd pass encoding h264 video. Then it's basically worthless for anything other than that job.
Also clocks terribly, so not even a competitor for video encoding in reality.
I thought they already had :(
Intel's CPU performance gains seem to be dropping considerably though.
If AMD bow out we will never see another Sandybridge jump in performance.
