I dont like posting aria deals or using them much, because of their delivery charges and antecs, but on this rare occasion, this product, including the delivery charges, is atleast more then £15 cheaper then anywhere else i have looked, so ive decided to post it. This also gives you the opportunity to pick up other bits and bobs that you usually wouldnt, because of the delivery charges. Its obviously much more hotter, if you live in Manchester and can go pick it up yourselves.

I have been looking for a new cpu for about a week now and was going to take the plunge with the x3 8650, which is a slower processor and has not done as well in benchmarks as this processor, for around £63 from ebuyer. I then come across this, which is £90 + everywhere ive seen, even ebuyer do it for £90.99 (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149208)

Its also a black edition, which means its multiplyer will be unlcoked for OC'ing, and some have managed to get it to 3ghz per core, stable (http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/amd_phenom_8750/12.html), and since its retail, it comes with 3 years manufacturers warranty and i think a heatsink and fan?

This can also be used on some AM2 boards, with bios updates, please refer to your manufacturers cpu compatibility list if you are unsure.

51p cheaper? Hmm....I guess my deal is still better, if:

1)You can collect in person
2)You want to recieve it in 1-2 days rather then 4 days
3)Tekhead sell 4 of them.

I dont know much about tekheads, how reputable etc they are either, so personally i would go with aria, but you're right, they are cheaper by 51pence.

Question: I have an AM2 board, will this work?

I took aria to the small claims court about 3-4 years ago because their courier - citylink lost my order and they will not dispatch it until citylink finds it or will take 6 weeks for them to claim compensation from Citylink before they re-dispatch my order.

Needless to say I won my claim and all cost associated. Never will buy from them again.

you might have to Flash the bios to get your motherboard to recognise the cpu,

Whats is the exact name of your motherboard.?

Tekheads are just about the best store to deal with IMO, I had a problem with a motherboard, which I returned, the replacement was on my door step 2 days later.

i almost spat out my coffee then as i only last week paid £100 for my phenom II x3 720 BE.

Just realized though that you are linking to the phenom I rather than the phenom II.

i would not buy a phenom I if i was you, they are awful.
