Amefa is Richardson Sheffield rubbish..Good luck..:-D

Bought these the other day when there was no codes around, so paid £27. Delivered on Thursday and very pleased with the set, although it does say boxed, it is, cardboard box that you would bin when you have opened it. It's the one pictured so all the cutlery would fall out the front unless kept flat. The cutlery is quite large compared to my other stuff and the serving spoons are huge!

Wrong!

Amefa is a Dutch company. They bought Richardson Sheffield in 2007.

Not sure why this is so difficult for you to grasp so I will try just once more:

Amefa was established in Holland in the 1930's. They are one of the largest producers of cutlery in the world. If you travel you will notice the Amefa brand in may hotels and restaurants throughout Europe.

Richardson Sheffield was an established British brand but was purchased by Amefa three years ago.

So when you say "Amefa is Richardson Sheffield rubbish..Good luck." it is wrong as Richardson Sheffield was nothing to do with Amefa until recently.

Does that make it easier for you to understand?

Does this make it any easier for you to understand!!!

Amefa bought Richardson Sheffield 3 years ago and under the Amefa brand name at the old steel works in sheffield they are still making the same old crap, and knocking it out under the Amefa brand name...

Comprendez!!! Jeez there are some douchebags on this site!!!

Richardson Sheffield sold their old works. They now have a small plant between Sheffield and Rotherham. Why would an international manufacturer with far greater manufacturing capacity run one cutlery range, with their own name on it, through a small factory in Yorkshire? You make no sense. The line in the UK is tooled for some Richardson products. It simply wouldn't have the capacity to run popular Amefa ranges too. Chances are it's all made in the far east anyway.

If you know what you are talking about back it up. But don't just come in, say something stupid, and then pretend it's others that aren't the full ticket.

I did like your use of the word douchebag though. Makes you sound like a brainless american college girl. Now, unless you actually have any knowlege of UK manufacturing industry or international brand management I suggest you run along and troll somewhere else.
