I hadn't heard of this company/site before, http://www.onefinestay.com - It looks like the posh man's AirBnB, with homes to stay in in Paris, New York, LA and London. This offer states you need to stay in UK locations - looks like London at the moment then.

To be honest, if I am going to spend £2k or more on a hotel break it is not going to be in this country!

Phew I wish I had 2k to blow on hotels - then this would be a scorching deal for me.

This is the polar opposite to their £5 off a £15 shop at Primark.

Found a reasonable home in Los Angeles.
Only on the first page of results ordered by cost, low to high.

Quite a nice pool - and three bedrooms.

But not prepared to spend £7,200 to spend a week there in July.

Deal says UK locations so looks like LA would be out of the question even if you were prepared to fork out the £7,200 bring back the £25 for a £50 spend at Argos instead! :)

Sorry - missed that, will update/clarify OP, thanks.

Isn't it more like the opposite to this? X)

Amex target their promotions based on your spend (and I'm sure some other factors). Fair play to them for the variety they offer and the ability (generally) for anyone to opt into an offer even if it isn't initially offered against their card.

Sadly, apart from that As ripoffh8er helped point out, it's UK locations only (which seems to be London only) and the terms are also that you book and stay before 13th February. Not sure why they had to make this quite so niche.

Looking at what you could actually get, as an example....

http://www.onefinestay.com/london/glendarvon-street/

* Staying for 7 nights, 02/02 - 09/02
* Sleeps 6 people

Total before discount: £2,008

(£20 off for signing up to the mailing list should not be used in this case as it would take you below the required £2k spend. You'd need something at £289 per night for a 7 night stay to maximise taking advantage of that and the Amex deal).

Amex cashback of £500 back brings total to £1,508. Shared between 6 people works out at £251 per person, so per person per night it's £35.90.

Oh, yes - it does say UK location only
Ad yes - you do have to both pay and stay before the 13th February.

I'm surprised they don't specify specific surnames they allow as well.

I do love my Amex card - got £50 off Apple over Christmas, £25 off at Argos, and enjoying the ongoing BP promotion.
But I am going to struggle with this one :p

Hi k9mkii

What is the ongoing BP promotion? Do you have a link I can look at as this sounds interesting but I don't know anything about it.

£5 off every £50 spend.

It expires at the end of January.
I'm not sure you can still add it to your card, if you haven't already.

Though with petrol prices falling - it's actually becoming quite difficult to spend £50 at the pump now.

The one time you want high fuel prices! I'm the same as you, as the prices have been going down I'm getting closer and closer to fumes to try and spend £50 to fill up. Long may it continue...though I don't think it will.

Has it sold out already? :D
