I have just signed up for this, takes at least 5 days to find out if you have been accepted. There is also the option of taking out an additional card for those brave enough to get it for your wife. :)

About to purchase a conservatory for £12K so this should save me £360 straight away.

No annual fee with this card either.

Problem is lots of shops, businesses don't take amex

Quidco Validated for me after about 5 days

I'd go for the Capital One cashback card 4% 1st 3mths 1% thereafter.

I applied for the Amex (before CO launched their cashback card) and was declined. Appealed and no joy, even had been a amex member of the green charge for years and being invited for the Platinum charge 3 times. Luckly CO launced their MC cashback card which is earning me 4%, having max'ed out my Egg money cashback

Hope this helps:thumbsup:

I've got one of these and it's great but be warned that they don't give particularly good credit limits and they only review it after 6 months (which is when the 3% has long gone!)

Sainsbury/Tesco/Asda/Waitrose/Marks and Spencer/Boots do

All the main petrol stations do

Main clothing chains/Currys/Dixons/Amazon/airlines/car rentals do

You can easily put at least 90% of your annual card purchases on Amex and save a significant amount.

The membership rewards programme paid for the flights for our last family holiday in the U.S. - saved us a couple of thousand quid - very nice:thumbsup:

Gave me a £700 Credit Limit. Virtually Useless for my conservatory.
