Because it's one of these products where the manufacturer thinks if they start with a high RRP then it'll be seen as more premium. Clearly, if they can discount it this much, it's not.

Oh, and the bottle is gold plated with swarovski crystal. Which is really what you're paying for...

But to be fair to the OP, and to The Hut, this is normally sold for a lot more than it is being sold for here.

I am going to buy one just to see what a £200 bottle of smell smells like

This is such a ridiculous saving. Although ended up not buying it because I've heard some people complain of a sweat smell from it. Can't go wrong with some Creed Aventus, although the price does hurt your wallet the stuff is bloody amazing.

I get a compliment everytime I wear Aventus, absolutely love the stuff.
Have you tried any other Creed fragrances?

Stuff is amazing ain't it? I've got a few mate. Sold some I've had too. Had and still got some the following: Original Santal (basically the original Joop Homme), Green Irish Tweed (a more premium Davidoff Cool Waters), Silver mountain water, Millesime Imperial (smells exactly like Sean John unforgivable, and countless others), Virgin Island Water (really nice fresh coconut & lime scent), Royal Oud, Himalaya, and Royal Water. :)

Fancy something new but not many stores where you can go in for a try.

Might order testers of Millesime Imperial and Silver mountain water off the bay.

Have you ever tried any Arabian perfume oils? I picked up a few on eBay of few Tom Ford and Creed fragrances. Was really pleasantly surprised. Long lasting and in some cases smell better than the originals. The Aventus one smelled exactly like the famous ZO1 pineapple batch.

Well there's House of Fraser and John Lewis who stock some Creed and others. Also can't beat Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, although you can pretty much get a cheaper version of it in L'occitane Eau Des Baux which is really nice and a quarter of the price. Have you ever tried Lomani AB Spirit Silver? It's a full blown clone of Aventus for only around £20, but is getting so hard to find online these days.

Never tried the perfume oils, bit wary of them somehow. Good choice on the Silver Mountain Water btw! You should try and sample some Frederic Malle scents too, especially Musc Ravageur.

Will pop into Frasers tommorow.
Never tried or heard of Lomani AB Spirit Silver, ill be sure to look out for it when my Aventus is finnished. Finding its lasting ages as 2 sprays is just right. Sort of softens the blow of paying 160 a bottle.

Will order a 1ml sample of musc ravageur, looks very interesting.

It does indeed mate. Although it's went right up in price, even the websites who sometimes even sell it for cheaper. Keep an eye out for that Lomani whenever you can, well worth the money. Frasers do all the Tom Ford line too, so spray away. ;-)
