Tesco online have 6 x 330ml bottles of Amstel for £5.39 but you can buy 2 packs(12 bottles) for £5, saving 39p and getting 6 bottles free.

No doubt about it, this is a tremendous price. So much so that I think it might be another Tesco pricing error, similar to the one they made with San Miguel a couple of weeks ago. Therefore, I would suggest that anyone interested should not hang about, as they may soon correct it to 12 bottles for £8.

Does anyone know if this available in store?

Just bought a load instore. And even better, it comes up on the receipt as two for £8, so just go to customer service and get double the difference back! Best deal in ages.

So you buy your beers, then go to customer services and they charge you £4 per 6 pack instead of 5?

You buy the beers and pay £8 for two packs. You then go to customer services and point out you have been overcharged by £3. They then give you a double the difference refund of £6, meaning the 12 bottles end up costing you £2.

I was unlucky, as the store I visited only had one pack left on the shelf and no more in stock.

I think it is marked up incorrectly. They are going through the til as 2 for £8, but strangely I bought 4 packs (of 6) and on the receipt it said 4x330ml 2 for £8 :s

I just got my refund and ran!

Just checked my receipt, also says 4x330ml too. Someone at Tesco Head Office is in big trouble :D

Offer now expired in Plymouth Roborough, after I grabbed my 10 cases + refund :)

Thanks OP

Just popped down to Tesco's in Bury St Edmunds. Bought 2 packs and went to customer services - guess what - gave me £11.56 back. I don't know how that works but thank you Tescos!

In line with speculation, the price has now been corrected to 2 for £8.00 online.

Just tried the same thing in Newmarket. Sign now changed to 2 packs for £8:cry:
I guess someone got their 8's and 5's mixed up!
Great while it lasted:thumbsup:

don't forget Tesco's 'double the difference' pricing policy.

If Tesco charge you incorrectly they will refund double the difference to what they correct charge should have been.

If anyone order the products on line before the price change then Tesco will honour the original published price (ie 2 x 5 pounds) but they will try and convince you that you are wrong and refer you to the price on the web site showing the corrected offer of 2 for 8 pounds.

They didn't count on some people (yeah, okay, me) sending the original offer in an email to themself as evidence of the published price. In my case they backed down straight away and paid up.

Also worked in store with Becks Green Lemon lager 6 pack and the Italian lager Peroni 4 pack that was on the same 2 for five pounds offer ( now changed to 2 for eight). I bought as many as they had and and they paid up at Customer Services on the way out.

Free beer and money in the pocket.

If they applied the double the difference policy correctly, you will have paid £2 for each pair of packs that you bought.
