  ffs! Get a grip. What happened in those 44 months sent a stark warning to the rest of the football world about "rich" owners coming in and buying clubs with borrow money. That club that was "good in the seventies and eighties" was one day away from administration through no reason other than the way that Hicks and Gillett bought the club. No doubt that would have pleased a moron like yourself.

  It's about how Liverpool didn't end up like Leeds, Portsmouth, Rangers, Southampton, Plymouth, Chester, Stockport, Wrexham etc.
  
  It's about how a club was taken over using borrowed money where the interest repayments swallowed every last bit of profit that could have been used to buy players.
  
  It's about how things got so bad that Benitez was made to find out of contract players to replace Mascherano, Alonso and Arbeloa.
  
  If a club is in turmoil fans have every right to blame someone. The owners, the manager, the players or even other fans if they don't turn up to support their club. There is always blame. Not sure why Liverpool fans can't blame but other fans can.
